No matter what people say about ARTPOP, it will always have a room in my heart  I personally think it's gaga's favorite album to date. It kinda was the first time she was writing music for herself, not for the fans, and she had so many plans surrounding the album - tho many of them weren't completed. Shame on you, label/manager :interestinga:

Well-made video or not, it still got a very poignant message across. She was overworked and overpressured by us, management, label, the media, just about from every angle. She wanted this to be an album for herself where she spoke about her truths and fears and it was shot down so many times through the videos for every song, for her documentary, everything.

I truly believe if Troy Carter hadn't left her for dust we would have had a much different era. If she had had a manager that stuck with her, believed in her, and supported her it could have been the most successful era - but it feels like she just wanted to rush to get it over with. It came too soon. I would have gladly waited another 6 months or even a year for a song, just so it was what she wanted. I hope time will tell all the truth about this album, and I bet it'll be hard to hear.

I'm sad now. I wanna know what was the pain Gaga had to face. She's strong enough to handle almost everything.

This is why Gaga and her team are SO tight lipped about LG5 and I don't blame them one bit ❤️

This image tho.

I swear no one just cries in their way leaving their hotel. This woman was thinking a lot in that era, she was connecting with her inner feelings on a whole new deep level, searching for answers.

I don't know but the expression screams:

What do I want?
What does my audience want?

Is this the right track to tread as an artist?
Why does no one understand me?
Why do I still feel so empty after all these accomplishments?
I'm such a fcking loser, I can't even fulfill my promises to my fans, I thought I was able to make them happy.

Okay but this video is obviously one sided, blaming her, and is obviously from a pressed ex-stan. It's focusing on all the 'broken promises' but doesn't explain WHY the era was a mess. Most of which wasn't her fault. And the parts that were her fault, were because of her mental state at the time.

Let me try and create my own timeline of why the ARTPOP era was a mess:

(I moved it into it's own thread because I went crazy once I started writing, and wrote enough for a thread):

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

The videos title is a bit mis-leading I agree, but what I got from watching the video was the explanation of her depression during this time. (Basically she went through a lot.... Is what I get from watching.) No one is bashing ARTPOP. We love ARTPOP.

I really don't understand why some of you can admit ARTPOP is not a great album or atleast understand why most of the GP and part fan base doesn't like it. Kind of delusional...

ARTPOP has always had a special place in my heart too. I never cared about the sells and everything because I knew it was not what she wanted with this album. More than with every album and era she did before, I felt a connection with this album, and this era. What she said made sense to me, I loved every outifit and performance and I didn't care that at the end, we didn't have everything we were promised. The spirit of ARTPOP will never leave.

Im only 30 seconds in and Im about to cry haha. This is depressing. It sounds like one of those murder mysteries like a sum of their life before the victim was killed.
