DiscoHeaven23 35,007
Quarter 4 Female Competition With the majority of female artists having already released albums in the past year and others like Katy Perry and Taylor Swift not releasing until next year, Quarter 3 single and Quarter 4 album seems like the perfect time for Gaga to release. And we pretty much know this is going to happen now. But what girls could be competition for Gaga? After doing some research on the internet, it seems like the women most likely to release an album in Quarter 4, who are well known, are: Selena Gomez Selena Gomez’s album is done. We know this and she’s even shared a snippet of a new song from the album. A quarter 4 release is almost a given at this point. Revival was a big step forward for Selena. It took her out of the Demi Lovato level fame. The follow-up could be big. Here’s a receipt on that: http://www.seventeen.com/celebrity/music/news/a42020/selena-gomez-just-teased-a-new-track-from-her-new-album-on-snapchat/ P!nk With a successful soundtrack song under her belt this year and a new well-received duet with Kenny Chesney, its clear that P!nk has begun to build hype for her next album. After all, it’s been 4 years since her last one. In January she teased that this was going to be an "exciting year” and I'm pretty sure that one single is not what she meant by exciting. She also has new tracks registered with long time collaborator Greg Kurstin (Blow Me) and one that is written by Sia called “Casualty”. Insiders say to look for this album to be more of the same sound from P!nk. P!nk has DOMINATED since 2000, so its pretty much a given that the era will be successful. Here’s receipts on that: http://www.gaytimes.co.uk/culture/34400/everything-know-pinks-upcoming-seventh-studio-album/ Lorde Lorde has been working on her new album for close to 3 years now. As she’s shared, she already has an album title picked out. Last month Lorde shared that she made some exciting breakthroughs for the album while alone in the wilderness for 3 days. While its not a definite thing that the album will be out in Quarter 4, it sure seems like things are headed that way. Lorde's last album sold twice as much as ARTPOP and they were released only two months apart. So can Lorde continue that success or was she just a one album wonder. Here’s a receipt on that: http://www.nme.com/news/lorde/95020 Miley Cyrus Rumors circulated a few weeks ago that Miley will be releasing a new single in October, most likely followed up by an album. In 2013, Miley was able to outshine Gaga (statistics-wise). She was huge. But then her era fell apart in 2014, with Adore You not being too successful. Since that time Miley has had some push-back, including being accused of cultural appropriation and spatting with Nicki Minaj. As Iggy Azalea can tell you, being accused of such a thing does not help your career. This fall Miley will be on The Voice and perhaps she can use this as a platform to promote her new era. But it remains to be seen of Miley will have that same strength she had in 2013. Nicki Minaj While not exactly direct competition for Gaga, there’s no doubt that Nicki Minaj knows how to steal the spotlight when she has an era going on. There have been a few signs that point to Nicki releasing an album in Quarter 4, though she pushed back her release date for The Pink Print many times so who knows. Nicki has recently begun registering songs and she’s been in the studio with DJ Mustard. One song Nicki has registered is called “Don’t Want Your Love” and involves Red One. Perhaps her next pop hit? Janet Jackson is also rumored to be featured on one of her new songs. The track is called “His Love Surrounds Me”. Nicki also shared during that Grammys that although she would not be performing, perhaps next year would work out better time wise. If Gaga does debut at #1 with LG5 I hope she's there for s couple of weeks. What she really needs though is a streaming promotion / deal that can boost her numbers. Noah 26,972
Nicki Minaj and Lorde both won't be a strong force as they were. Nicki fvcked up her career with TPP, besides Anaconda - there were no memorable Songs. She also wasn't on a known feature since Hey Mama. Since Ariana is also not in her peak right now because she's blacklisted on some Radio - She won't have a successful Single with S2S either. Lorde could come back with a great Single but it won't be a 'Royals' or 'Team'. The - honestly - only competition Gaga has are the Pop Stars that also appeal to Kids AND the AC. For example, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and maybe even Selena Gomez. Selena had three Radio #1 with Revival. Katy Perry has delivered many Top 40 Hits with PRISM. Taylor Swift is known for AMAZING Album Sales. If they release their new Albums soon - Gaga needs to have good marketing Plans. I will not mention Adele - since I don't think the third Single of 25 will be as successful as a Lead Single of the above. ⟡ ⋆ ˚。⋆🦢⋆ ˚。⋆⟡
REALITY 77,110
I'm actually sort of surprised with the poll, I mean, I haven't seen Lorde at all in the media—not counting the David Bowie tribute, so I don't think she'll be competition at all. I voted Selena though, because everyone seems to love her. 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔪𝔲𝔰𝔦𝔠'𝔰 𝔤𝔬𝔫𝔫𝔞 𝔟𝔯𝔦𝔫𝔤 𝔪𝔢 𝔟𝔞𝔠𝔨 𝔣𝔯𝔬𝔪 𝔡𝔢𝔞𝔱𝔥

JustAnotherDay 8,402
I think P!nk could be real competition, no one seems to talk about her but she is a massive success, her last album was (arguably) her most successful single wise and one of her most successful album wise. She'll debut low like she usually does and then climb the chart and get a bunch of hits. In the end I don't think one other person will be competition, there can be another superstar who is real song at the same time and they can both be massively successful, the problem will be if like in 2013 when a bunch of massive songs are out at the same time was NickARTPOP

Tbh established older artists can continue their success but its rarely at a skyhigh level after 5 years Most likely as usual the biggest hype will be around someone whos new, not someone whos been around 7+ years and manages to probably get 2 hits on next era
