I'm not denying it's catchy, but there's nothing fresh sounding about it. It sounds like it could be some random Selena Gomez album track

Whatre you implying

Selena Gomez is very innovative and new

:derpga:

I just remember being all "is that it?" and "OH HOW LOVELY AND REPETITIVE"

It grew on me, but yeah, nothing "fresh" sounding about it at all I'm afraid, Nicholas.

Not as drastic as WFL's though. Half of that song is a breakdown, that's why it was fresh, imo.

It was all over Euro-pop years before Rihanna came with it. :wtf:

When a total unknown breaks though massively with a hit song, there is almost always is something fresh and different about it. Lot of people feel that way about Carly's song. Stuff becomes "generic" only when it becomes a repeated and tired formula.

lol that is GENERIC. it may be "fresh" but its "fresh" new generic trash

Love You Like a Love Song was better than 90% of the **** on US pop radio last year, but they wouldn't play it for months (because she is "teen pop" and that isn't currently cool). Carly's song just couldn't be denied.

LYLALS went double platinum, so it was a decent sized hit.

That was last year, adding to the case that this isn't fresh at all. It's generic and boring.
