Yeah but he isn't selling the album. He just got asked a question and said he's proud of it in like 5 different ways without disrespecting Gaga by revealing any information. And he sounds pretty sincere too.

I cant wait for the interviews after the album is (eventually) released where she confirms that she made 5 different albums and wrote and recorded 300 tracks, an EMOTION (CRJ) tea

He doesn't need to skyrocket his career, he is already one of the most praised producers in contemporary music.

It's fair to say, that in the long run, whatever album he makes with Gaga wont be as profitable, critically acclaimed, or universally praised as Back To Black. He doesn't need the checks.

i'm intrigued that he said "the story of the album". I bet there's some juicy details on how she might've gone through many different albums before coming to mark and collaborating on this, what seems to be, an alternative/pop record. very excited for this evolution of her sound.
