But it's a problem when women are adhering to something that harms the image of women. Women are already viewed as sex objects, so sexualising ourselves can't empower us. It's funny how we've been raised to find a version of sexuality that just so happens to be supported by men to be empowering. It's about so much more than complaining because "I don't like it." Videos such as these contribute towards a culture that keeps women down. It's a shame that it's usually only women who can seem to understand this concept and realise how damaging it is. And no, I'm not generalising all men. But it's a known fact that an extremely small number of them go for the same overt sexuality as women (the only time we really see explicit male sexuality is in the LGBT community too). The majority of men don't parade around in their underwear as a means to attaining power. So, why do women do it?
