I mean, just saw this on facebook and figured i'd pass it along. She's a little crazy. She seems knowledgeable but EXTREMELY PASSIONATE. Not rlly a fan of Hillary and even i think this is way over the top.

You're more likely to be quoted by the Little Jillsters. Their hearts are at least in the right place even if I disagree with what they're doing (voting third party, making it a little easier for the thing to win) 

I don't feel like watching this rant tbh. I sat through my dad's tirade this morning where he was calling Hillary the anti-christ and stuff

I mean i have ams all knowledge in politics (don't follow things) but he can't take away gay rights right? No one would let him. (?) I am a republican with everything except for abortion/equality (Hillary won't be helping with terrorism)

I agree with some republican concepts too.

since godnald trump is a republican, he will have to place republicans into open seats in the government, making sure that the overtly anti-gay sentiment in the Republican Party is at least acknowledged throughout his presidency, and for the most part upheld. I did feel good and did like that they mentioned gays at the RNC for the first time, but the fact is that it would likely get worse for gay rights if Donald got elected simply because the demands of the Republican Party. In the very best scenario, gay rights just would stay exactly the same. The only way it would improve is if a democrat was in office since that is a big part of their social platform. Just look at what all happened since Obama was in office. it's like night and day for gay people. If a republican became president, religious freedom bills would likely have more respect and potentially be more commonplace, even more attempts at changing federal laws in religious freedom's favor. Donald probably does not care at all about gay people one way or another as he is not controlled by anyone since he is so rich and can fund himself. But his Vice President already has a record of it, and so does the rest of almost the entire Republican Party. I hate to vote on social issues but honestly I'm gay and I'm already living in a state where I would get fired if I told my homophobic coworkers I'm gay. So since this is always a looming issue for me I have to vote democrat

Totally get it. I was annoyed to see Trumps vice president  like i thought he would try and get Bernie's votes rather than go after true true republicans (he chose like a very conservative old man)

The Human Rights Campaign gives politicians ratings according to their commitment to LGBT rights. Their rating for Bernie Sanders was 100%. Their rating for Hillary Clinton was 89%. They endorsed Hillary Clinton during the primaries, in spite of Sanders, by their own standards, being a better candidate for LGBT Americans. That endorsement made it clear that the HRC prioritizes advancing their political capital over protecting the interests of LGBT Americans. Knowing that, I would be hesitant to use them as a source for your argument.

Just in case you and anyone else reading this didn't know: 

The current president of the Human Rights Campaign, Chad Griffin, got his start in politics volunteering for the Bill Clinton presidential campaign, which led to a position in the White House Press Office at the age of 19. 

He endorsed Hillary Clinton despite another Democratic candidate having a higher rating from this organization. I guess having friends in high places came in handy this time.

It is just one shorthand reference to share for the poster's information who asked if Trump could really affect LGBTQ rights. I think it is a useful consolidation of Trump's dangers to the LGBTQ community. This has nothing to do with Hillary/Bernie.

It directly relates to the primary. Using the Human Rights Campaign as a source to prove why one candidate is more detrimental to the advancement of LGBT Rights over another candidate, directly after the HRC endorsed a candidate, who by their own judgment, was less like to advance LGBT rights over her primary opponent, proves that the HRC has motivations beyond protecting the rights of LGBT Americans. They have proven that they are not a neutral organization working to advance LGBT Rights, they are in the pocket of Hillary Clinton, which certainly should be taken into consideration when you are using them as a shorthand source against her current political opponent.

Use whatever sources you'd like, place whatever bumper stickers you'd like on your car, I was just cautioning you about the HRC's motivations.
