Pokemon has already been politicized and other awful things. There have been actual biological experimentation to make actual pokemon, which would make animal super soldiers. I mean, in the anime and games are cute. But a rat that can shoot electricity out of itself at will is an extraordinarily frightening thing, especially considering how they can live anywhere, and how they reproduce. Breathing is politics. And pokemon isn't being "politicized" it is being used as a tool to make people awareness of the harsh realities of the world, because the game is so relevant right now, but the agency and rights of people isn't relevant.
