If a Katy vs. Gaga happens and Katheryn wins then she totally deserves to be praised for it - Gaga has no excuse whatsoever to fail after working on that album for years now, with acclaimed producers and a fantastic manager. Especially not the GP friendly excuse.

Yes, she has an excuse, because Katy has a producer that we know always conqueers the GP, and Gaga maybe will take it to artisty and the GP won't like it. Katy's product will always be basic so everyone can like it.

She has RedOne and Mark this time around.

Applause lost the fight against Roar because not only was it as basic as it, it was an overall weaker product with the video.

White girls, am I right?

But seriously, isn't Katy a grown woman? If this is true, it's another reason I'm glad I don't stan her.

Currently listening to Joanne

I'm here for it. Whatever it is. I doubt it's about the beef though. Make the headlines though.

Did Applause go #2? No. Katy Perry wasn't the only artist ahead of Applause. You guys need to let that **** die.

The only positive about this is that if both Katy and Gaga release this August, the media will be too busy pitting Katy vs. Taylor instead of Katy vs. Gaga 2.0 :hor:

exactly. It was a shitty choice of a lead single that didn't even surpass already charting songs, let alone a newly released one. but both songs released around the same time and so.

Couldn't really care less for the media fueled and hopefully nonexistent drama, but I care a lot about how they're saying that new music is coming soon from her :excited2:

It is expected Gaga is releasing next month and she will because I don't think she's afraid of Katy Perry. Only fans are.

If she delays again it would prove how much she is not confident about her music.

If Gaga wanted to avoid big competition, she would have released her album in Spring (late Q2). In Q3 and Q4 a lot of big releases are planned (even in fall)

I don't really care that much about kp tho... Neither I enjoy less the music. I just don't like how fanbases pitted one against the other, but this isn' t obviously a solid reason to delay a project

I'm curious, what makes her music 'basic'? Is it that she doesn't speak about in-depth political issues because not many other artists do either compared to Gaga? Or is it the production? If so can you explain why her instrumentals are basic?

I ask because you've said she's basic several times and I'd like to know why, from a technical pov.

Same production thecnique, always Pro Tools, samples, etc. No step further for the art, just rythms and sounds that the industry knows they will work on radio.
