Yes, you're right, I'm probably being too hard on her and quite frankly she's doing a lot more to promote the cause than any of us are doing, so she should absolutely be proud of everything she's done. BTW (the song and foundation) have saved countless lives and that is more than enough kindness and compassion. I hope to see her continue to be active in promoting kindness but maybe in future I shouldn't expect so much from her. I truly hope the mayors took onboard the things that were said at that conference and implement them in their own policies.

I agree personally...the btw foundation is very much an idealistic hippie charity...it's all speeches and declarations...she should be donating to aids research, funding hostels for homeless lgbt youth and directly funding anti bullying initiatives in schools. Real things.

her and elton's love bravery project is doing that. in the past, her and cyndi lauper's MAC campaign did that. 

she did that when she gave 1 million to the robin hood foundation. 

the BTWF is building a social infrastructure in schools based on research and with the help of experts. money is not the real thing in every case.

what "real things" are you doing personally?
