Cyndi's last top 5 album was in 1986 with True Colors and her last entry at the BB100 was in 1997 with Ballad of Cleo and Joe. Not against Cyndi but Cyndi has a few hits while Madge has many many hits. It's also sad that Cyndi can't do well in the charts, it's a waste so see once so successful artist being burried down (including Madonna) Who stepped on my taco? True Colors was Cyndi's last, and really only, pop record. She's So Unusual was pure New Wave, and her previous album was Rockabilly. After True Colors she released an Adult Contemporary album, an R&B album, a collection of standards, a Rock record, an EDM album, a Christmas album, etc... Cyndi's last album was Country, and peaked respectability at number four on the US Country charts. Her previous album was a Blues album and it was number one for a whopping thirteen weeks on the US Blues chart. It's not really fair to compare the chart positions of an artist who is releasing albums which are really just passion projects, to an artist who is chasing the current style of popular music in hopes of regaining cultural relevancy.
