AHS Season 6 filming's underway in LA. Set in nursing home/hospital for now

Interesting locations... I feel like because of Big Bear there are gonna be some kinda foresty scenes which could be cool! Maybe Blair Witch styled horror. Not Slenderman though, the rumours of the Slenderman theme have been confirmed false.

So apparently this was the instagram post by John Gray, one of the AHS writers:

Which led people to believe they were filming in Pomona. Apparently the place has nice architecture and a over 120 churches. So they could be just filming there because of the buildings, or the religious imagery (which plays into all AHS seasons at least a bit)

 

And then apparently they were setting up in Big Bear:

And that place looks both desserty and/or foresty, so it could be either type of scenery!
 

People are speculating some kind of Area 51 or Hills-Have-Eyes type of setting for AHS6. Which frankly would scare the sh*it out of me lol.

 

The nursing home scene/scenes could be anything though! But it's interesting to know one of the settings... It could be a hint at the main plot, or it could just be a 2 minute flashback in one episode...

 

Other details are that they were working on 2 ideas at once because they couldn't decide on one, and both ideas have to do with children... And apparently there will be even more character connections between seasons... which means that it has to be set around either the modern day, or 1960s. And people have always made the observation that the seasons skip from modern day to the past (Murder house, Asylum, Coven, Freakshow, Hotel = present, past, present, past, present) and if this is a format they're sticking with, then next season will be set in the past again, probably 60's.

@Helxig a head TPTB (I think FX head?) said that season 6 will "primarily take place in the present, with echoes of the past". A little shitty, because I loved the pattern, but whatevs.

I'm curious where they're gonna go with these filming locations. Like, a lot of the filming locations for past seasons can be a bit misleading, considering its respective theme.

@Helxig Just because they've been confirming that the rumors were false doesn't mean it is not gonna happen. I think a big think like AHS doing slenderman would be a big moneymaker.

not to mention, any Square Enix fan will tell you, Square Enix has been confirming that the rumors of a FF7 remake were false for years. YEARS.

Guess what we're getting next year at earliest? FF7 remake (maybe before lg5 lols)

Honestly, I think you're right with an area 51 theme. All the seasons are connected in some way and we probably need something else (besides poor dead Pepper) to connect Asylum to the rest of the series.

I think Slenderman would be done somewhere more foresty. I hope they go to the petrified forest to do it~
