Economy 53,136
http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20140314-the-worlds-scarcest-material Rare Earth metals and resources such as idium are becoming very scarse. We need to either find more, or find substitutes to these resources Rare Earth Metals for whatever reason have not gotten as much attention as Oil for example but the truth is that its in far smaler supply Rare Earth Metals and compounds are essential for many if our technologies such as Cellphones, Tablets, Digital Cameras and even some hybrid/electric battery technology

Bad Bromance 5,809
Perhaps this could be avoided if more people recycled their smartphones and other technological equipment. Municipalities in the U.S. make it very difficult for people to recycle technological equipment that no longer works, is damaged or simply obsolete. I mean, you really shouldn't have to drive for miles to a recycling center. Frankly, all municipalities should collect such items for recycling. I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

I was about to post something like this, but Smart Daddy already did. Recycle people! If All You Ever Do Is Look Down On People, You Won't Be Able To Recognize Your Own Weaknesses. If we do, in about 100 years we'll be in the same place maybe they should like build a clone machine and clone all the metal idk I'm out of ideas. At this point we're doom. I need to research cloning.
Mikey Monster 1,561
IK technology is great and all but it's also so damn distracting to the world. This was bound to happen cuz the whole world is in demand of it Mikey McCampbell

But it is theoretically impossible to make an exact exact clone.

At least to get us by before we actually run out of resources
JevyDuty 2,961
China must be very happy; they practically have a monopoly on these metals. The laws of supply and demand dictates that technology will only get more expensive unless something is done about this.
