Yeah, yeah, bunch of BS. Only country music fans cared for her before the VMA's thing. She should be very thankful of Kanye for making her famous and big.

When's Turbo Grafx 16 coming Kanye?

For all of u saying Adele. She only had 4 big hits... And because she only had 2 big albums, as big as they were, the commulative success isnt that impressive in total numbers if thats all her success is in

her touring was lack luster and really her spikes in fame were short lived. During 21 era she was popular for 18 months then disapeared, now she recently had a smaller peak

She had a lot if potential but she did not release enough to comulatively have more sucess in total than many other artists

"Only" four big hits. One of which was the most successful song of 2011. Another spent 10 weeks at number one.

Adele's success is massively impressive, what on Earth are you talking about? *Cumulatively, her success is incredible and nobody should downplay that. Her touring numbers are lack luster because she cancelled the tour for 21 less than halfway through, and even still, she was performing at smaller venues because she didn't feel comfortable playing huge arenas like she does now. She disappeared because she took a break from music to raise her child.

She's had more success than any artist in the past ten years with less music.

Deal with the facts

OK we get that you don't like her :) her career is incredible no matter what you think, success after success she's here to stay, unlike some has-beens

I dislike her music, well, with the exception of Bad Blood, that song is catchy. I just don't understand why her uncreative and generic music is so successful?

I never liked 1989 tbh I prefer Speak Now... But her success Is undeniable. IMO her success is mostly because she's an excellent songwriter, she writes simple yet meaningful, easy to connect to lyrics.. Her albums are always a pleasure to listen to!

Over.

2006-2016 is my late-teens/early-twenties so I think I can make a fairly justified estimation:

Rihanna

Lady GaGa (not anymore now, but her impact back then was gigantic)

Justin Bieber

Taylor Swift

Katy Perry

Edit: I think Bey's popularity is super overestimated. I don't know anyone at all who likes her or actually follows her. I'd put her on the same level as Adele, Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, etc. Super famous, but not really THAT big and relevant.

When you think if the biggest artists of the last decade (2006-2016) who do you think had the most success over-all that define this last decade?

My List Is:

Lady Gaga

Justin Bieber

Katy Perry

Rihanna

Taylor Swift

Those are the 5 biggest i think. I almost put Eminem, Beyonce & Britney Spears but much of their success was before 2006 :neyde:

Holy crap I wrote the same list as you without reading yours:emma:

Ur missing my point

i dont care if she had to cancel the tour or only released 2 albums

her potential of what she could have accomplished is not what im putting into question. Im fully aware that if she tried she could of done way more

im talking about commulative success over past 10 years. Circumstances that held u back are irrelevant. Were discussing success not what they "could have accomplished if it wasnt for..."

I'm not saying anything about her possibly accomplishing more if she released more? Where in my post is that?

Her "cumulative success" (as you keep putting it) over the past 8/9 years is greater than most pop stars have in their entire career. I honestly don't understand how you can even question it and quite honestly, don't see what your point is.

Let me just quote this good sis who says everything that needs to be said:

Well, if I had to include Adele, I would have her replace Lady GaGa.

Surely Adele hasn't had a larger impact than Rihanna, Taylor, Katy and Justin Bieber. Everyone loves Adele, everyone has a few songs by Adele, but I wouldn't consider her to have a really big impact...she's not always everywhere all the time like the others.
