gagzus 22,706
I’ve recently started rewatching Game of Thrones and I’m furious all over again, not because of the ending (I saw it coming since the first time Dany had someone killed) but because of the fact they made Jaime Lannister just… go back to King’s Landing when they were clearly setting him up to end up with Brianne of Tarth and become a hero — perhaps even the one who kills Cersei based on the prophecy of her downfall. Is there any show plot lines and endings that still make you absolutely want to scream? Even if the shows are over!

Jenina 15,330
I hate how House of the Dragon had a chance to make Alicent a compelling and complex character but threw it away. They decided to play it as if this all started because Alicent misunderstood Viserys on his deathbed. I wish they would've stuck with the way she was in season 1. Like we used to have "You may do as you wish, husband... when I am cold in my grave" and her yelling at Aegon that he is the challenge but now we have a confused bystander cool cool

I honestly didn’t have much faith after I realised that Episode 7 was basically a rehash of Episode 4 and then they became scared to make Finn the hero.

It was so bland and reductive. And erased the original saga's ending without any world building. 14 minutes ago, gagzus said: The director of Episode 8 ruining the obvious setup that Ray was Luke’s daughter and that Snoke was obviously Darth Plaguis will never not make me wanna SCREAM I don't think Rey was ever going to be linked to luke after 7, without serious plot holes. But could have been Obi Wan's child at best. The gays know how to party

I really enjoyed Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. I also enjoyed HOTD season 1 quite a bit which is why it bothers me so much. I haven't been watching all of Season 3 of HOTD because I'm frustrated but the few scenes I have seen of Emma are incredible cool cool

I think her being Obi Wan's child made even less sense because Obi Wan was an old man and then eventually dead by the time Leia and Luke were in the story and they’re like twice the age of Rey. She would’ve had to have been the same age as Leia and Luke imo. I always thought she was gonna be Luke’s daughter who he had to abandon when Ben turned to the dark side as his student. Or if not then Ben’s sister, mirroring the original trilogy. I have never watched The Clone Wars before but I know Lucas’ original plan was to have Darth Maul be the villain of a sequel trilogy. Or if not then Ben’s sister, mirroring the original trilogy. I have never watched The Clone Wars before but I know Lucas’ original plan was to have Darth Maul be the villain of a sequel trilogy. I just know it could never be Luke's child because Lucas continues to this day to use his influence and disney shares to block any attempts by Disney in bringing in Mara Jade/any love interest for Luke. He despises the idea of Luke breaking a celibacy vow. Claudia Grey got blocked from bringing her into canon with the official pre-Ep 7 book Bloodline. Timothy Zahn who created her in the original thrawn trilogy has been repeatedly blocked despite Thrawn being canonised and Disney picking Zahn to write 6 new canon Thrawn books for the disney canon. So there's no way Luke was ever getting tied to Rey. But do agree she was clearly being set up as tied to someone. But tbh equally Finn was supposed to get a far bigger role. Honestly, just because of the age of Carrie/Mark/Harrison I'll always think it was a stupid idea to give us sequels. Disney would have been better off going for prequels and distancing far enough back in the history that no original saga characters cept Yoda were present. That way they would have had a clean slate to work with or could have tapped up multitudes of EU series like the Hyperspace War, Exar Kun, Darth Bane, the old republic etc. The gays know how to party

StrawberryBlond 15,539
Better be careful with spoilers, everyone, especially with really recent shows. I've really been happy with how every show I've liked has gone although there's 2 that I wish could be better: 8 Simple Rules - When Kerry lost her virginity. It was just so out of left field and always made me feel icky. Admittedly, that partly came from jealousy as I wished it was something that would feature in my own life but it feels even weirder as an adult because she was 17 and it's generally considered on US shows for that not to happen until the characters are 18. I know the idea was to show that teens have sex, even the geeky "good" ones and to be a contrast to Bridget, who is assumed to be easy because of how she looks. But it still ultimately seems like the creators just wanted something shocking to happen and considering we don't even see the guy or any lead up to it, it just seemed like a last minute idea that wasn't planned. The Golden Girls - The finale was good but was one of the most rushed finales in TV history. Without giving too much away, it just seems like the creators wanted a certain ending and didn't care how many new elements they had to add or much they had to shoehorn it into a double episode. And that not every character got the same treatment. Btw, shoutout to spin-off The Golden Palace - don't know know why so many fans act like it doesn't exist, these episodes are brilliant!
