You're responsible for protecting yourself during sex. If you want to have sex with a guy who is not your boyfriend and uses drugs to have sex then you probably should use a condom. It's not the 90's anymore, if you have unprotected sex with people you can't fully trust then it's your fault too.

Even if that's truth (which is not because  transmission of HIV is grievous bodily harm and not murder) that's still murder, not self defense.

I actually had a similar scenario where a partner told me he had HIV after sex (Six months later I'm still negative), and what these ass-backwards people are trying to say is I am allowed to go to his house and kill him? I'm asking for a friend.

That's a different situation. No. But if he was your partner and you got it. I would not surprised if you killed him. It would be self defense. It's tempted murder either way. Same as a gun or a knife.
