Mess at her trying to blame her lawer and defending herself saying that wasn't what she said. She literally said those things, it's all over the Internet.

in an attempt to desensitize anderson cooper's argument that this was directed at gay people, she tried to illicit a reaction that human beings where in the wrong place at the wrong time. if that was the case, could we also say that she could've easily have been there? the thing is, we know she wouldnt have, because what was targeted was specifically an lgbt+ space. it defeats her argument based off her own logic.... :emma:

One of our liberal talk show radio hosts was on a rampage about Governor Scott and Pam Bondi yesterday. calling them out for being such hypocrites.

Now, during all of this, she suddenly puts up Gay Pride Week on her website.   How convenient.

lol, destroyed

but how is she corrupt? Other than saying gay marriage would hurt other people, she was just doing to job she was sworn in to due. Her state constitution passed by the people of FL explicitly said no to gay marriages...

Jesus Christ, how can you guys have it so ass backwards? :smh:

This woman is setting aside her political and religious beliefs to help the victims of a massacre. That is what you do in the wake of a tragedy. You set aside ideology to help your fellow man. She is doing the right thing.  The appropriate response to her bridge building isn't to burn the bridge.

Rather then celebrate the unanimous support the gay community is receiving, you are all drawing political lines in the sand, criticizing the support of those whom you don't deem liberal enough. People in this thread saying conservative leaders are hypocrites for having a compassionate response to the massacre in Orlando are so gross. We should  cherish this rare moment when Conservative Americans are largely embracing Queer Americans. This is a time for coming together.

It's also worth noting that not supporting marriage equality isn't the same thing as being a bigot. A fact you all knew when you voted for Obama, and a fact you will all remember when you cast your ballot for Hillary in November.

I'm sorry but if it's only gay marriage opposition I don't see the issue. He is doing a bit extra. She is helping and putting attention into it. Just because she opposed gay marriage doesnt mean she hates gay people and wants all their rights stripped away. He's not helping the situation, but worsening it by the need to confront her.

MTE.... idk if im watching the same video as other people here cuz she seemed incredibly reasonable. She had a reasonable argument for each of his statements but he kept repeating them like a 16 year old girl with raging hormones. If anyone scalped anyone it was her scalping him with logic and sensibility. I totally agree with her that if the topic was about the victims of the recent tragedy, they should talk about them and their families and how to help them, not about her past of opposing gay marriage, even though she obviously does not have any ill feelings towards gay people.

the thing is, this woman and conservatives alike aren't showing actual compassion, theyre making it about "
humanity" and rationalizing it as a general attack on random people in general, complete erasure of the fact that it was targeted at gay people. that way, they dont seem like assholes for not commenting about it, but at the same time being able to feel the right to their bigotry.
