Can we talk about this amazing new pokemon for just a sec...

Shiinotic:

-Can learn Spore.

-Can learn Dream Eater.

That synergy 

- Has access to the Effect Spore ability 

- Excellent typing against common offensive types (Water, Fighting, Ground, Dark, etc)

NEW Moves!

- Strength Sap: The user restores its HP by the same amount as the target's Attack stat. It also lowers the target's Attack stat. 

- Spotlight: The user shines a spotlight on the target so that only the target will be attacked during the turn.  

+Wears a hat that makes Gaga jealous

+Looks like a fab mushroom growing out of a dead Jigglypuff (If you look closely..... ) 

 

Basically if you try to touch this thing, you can fall asleep

It Spores any non-contact attacking Pokemon.

Fall asleep and you get your Dreams eaten.

Throw out an Physical attacker = More health for Shiinotic and say goodbye to your Attack stat

Is a Doubles Monster. The two opposing Pokemon targeting you? Uses Spotlight to have the opponent attack its partner!

Sorry to burst your bubble but It's not gonna be that pleasant using this Pokemon, with a 30 speed stat, It'll be knocked out by a powerful fire pokemon (which is common) and surely by any poison type pokemon due that 4X weakness before you do any of that good stuff you're talking about. While poison types are not that common, I can tell you from now Slandit's evo will be a fan fav and will be used alot, awesome design and very cool typing. 

I stated this early about Slandit's evo and it's potential for being competitive 

"Slandit's evolution has high speed and Sp.Attack and an ability that allows it to poison any pokemon, bring this pokemon out when dealing with a pesky steel type like Skarmory or a poison type like mega venasaur/gengar. However one ground type attack and this pokemon is out, so give it a balloon as an item and use it wisely." 

While Effect spore is a nice ability, the best fire type and poison type moves are special.

What I am trying to say in a nut shell  is that Shiinotic is no sweeper nor is it a tank, it's more of a pesky pokemon that will be there for the purpose of being annoying to deal with and not hard to deal with in general.

But hey It's nice to see that everyone is starting to pick their favs, it's a cool pokemon overall, hope you can use it to your advantage : )

I'm hoping for a Klefki 2.0 to happen. 

Underrated at first, then became a nightmare 

Edit: If you dont know already, I love ghosts types. So I specialize in annoying and disrupting my opponent a lot

In terms of competitive use, the meta is probably going to be oversaturated with ultra beasts and legendaries like always so....  

I mean have you seen Gen 6 tournaments? You literally needed Primal Kyogre and/or Primal Groudon on your team to even have a chance. They're literally homogenized across the board.

I've read that UB 2 and beyond are summoned by the cover legend coming from a worm-hole. However, UB1 was created by the Aether Foundation or they caught one or something like that. I didn't read too much spoilers because I didn't want the ploT to be spoiled.
