I don't like the aggressive/passive aggressive attitudes in here but I can't say I disagree. Although the second one may be a little "excused", people go through things that can dramatically change their way of thinking. it wasn't laaaahv

REALITY 76,234
I used to hate on celebrities that would complain about their fame, but I guess the more I thought about it, the more I started to realize that their problems are just as justified as ours. That said, there are definitely much more important things to worry about, but you can't blame them or dismiss their struggles as anything less than important because obviously, it's important to them. 🦠🧙♀️🥀📸🎉👻🕺🧟💊💖☎️🔪👤🐺🌱🌎
Allan 3,875
"Lady Gaga hates fame so much that she walked out onto the MTV VMA stage wearing a dress made out of meat, and had a bitch puke on her live on stage at the SXSW festival." Taking the meat dress as an example, the point is not the meat, it's the message behind it. Analyzing now, a meat dress wasn't the best way to express what she was trying to say because people got stuck in the meat part and didn't think deeper about it. And her point in the interview, I believe, was that she would keep and still defend the same messages that she defends now if she wasn't famous. Maybe she wouldn't wear meat if she were an underground artist, because well, meat is expensive and she'd rather buy it to eat herself, but she could still find another way to express what she was thinking - also, a bigger and more diverse public means that a more appealing resource should be used. These comments are people basically underestimating psycological issues and how can they affect one's live. Imagine living surrounded with people who's only there because you're rich and famous? What would that make you feel?

Getting puked on has nothing to do with fame and she did it while singing SWINE. It is Art and expressed how she felt while going through stuff all these years. Please don't defend the puking thing. it was seriously not okay That's not ART. That's clickbait

Solitaire 902
I honestly thought the whole "Actors on Actors" interview was incredibly pretentious, two super famous and wealthy women complaining about their fame on what I assume was a broadcasted interview. I honestly cringed when Gaga claimed she never wanted to be famous... She basically decided to ignore her entire first album entitled "The FAME", and also completely contradicted the intro to the Marry The Night video ("I'm gonna be a star", wishing she could be part of the Destiny Child's video she claims to have watched on her grandmother's couch after being dropped from Def Jam, ect.). Girl, it's okay to tell us what we all know, that you were fame hungry at one point and now that you have (extreme)fame you understand that it's a demon you didn't quite understand in its entirety before you became the #1 pop star this generation has ever seen. Fame gets nasty so don't sugar coat it but also acknowledge how badly you wanted it before and how well off you are now. I think it comes off as insensitive to your poor/middclass fans who have to work 40+ hours a week to just survive. *meltdown over* Edit: and yeah I understand that she was trying to explain that even if she wasnt famous she'd still be doing what she's doing but her off hand comments about fame struck a nerve with me. - Previously Sycothisis

prince 4,688
I'd rather she said "I wanted to be famous and I worked for fame and once i got it I realised I wanted to create art more and it wasn't fame i craved it was artistic freedom" Because we all know thats what she means. She seems to deny the fact that she went out and sought fame, she claims it was never in her agenda which is bs because her image at the time of her rise to stardom was influenced by fame and famous people; the art Gaga created questioned and spoke about fame and thats what made her interesting. Fame ****ed her over and she kept seeing the darker side of it and because of that she now claims "oh i never wanted to be famous" ok gurl I fully believe her artistic choices such as the meat dress and being puked on were chosen and performed because they held a very strong metaphor and as performance pieces they cleverly discussed the subject she was wanting to put at the forefront of her career at that time. BUT you can't deny they were there to draw attention to her and her career; it's funny how she wore a dress made of meat to an award ceremony and then told everyone about BTW that same night on stage and then later she discussed the metaphor behind that dress. That night it was about the dress and the shock value and it was about marketing and getting her headlines, once she had those headlines she then discussed the meaning behind the dress, a lot of the things she does are clever marketing schemes to gain her popularity that are coated in art and metaphors.
