That would be ultimate art expression, her realistic era has no boundaries

I knew this word would cause so much confusion...

It can mean the recording process is done on tape, which means there's no need of conversion from the physical sound to the computer.

It can also mean that she's using live instruments, physical ones. Analog is always physical, opposed to digital.

It doesn't mean she won't use synths. That is false, please do understand that part lil monsters.

The sample which Drake got for his hit, "Hotline Bling" was done with an analog synthesizer.

Edit: There's electricity before computers and electronic music didn't start with computers as well. Please do understand that as well. Electronic music started with playing with tapes.

I believe it means real instruments and real vocals, something like the edge of glory where in the middle of dance pop song you can hear saxophone solo. I think it still will be pop, or even dance pop music but will live instruments. Don't forget that she described Born This Way as  "giant musical-opus theater piece". At the end of the day she is working with Ronson not with Led Zeppelin :gaycat:

Using real instruments doesn't mean only ballads. Pianos are not the only instruments, hennys.

I think some of the comments being made about this being the "wrong direction" for LG5 is precisely why Gaga is going there. Our generation has a preconceived idea that digital is somehow better, and that the only way to make dance music is with electronics. When, in fact, dance music has been around LONG before we had digital instruments and production.

I have a feeling she wants to show us it's absolutely possible to make bops with real instruments, the way they did it in the 60's and 70's. Not only is it possible, but in some ways, it's superior.

"Analog" does not mean ballads!

I would DIE if Gaga goes pure funk/soul dance jams like classic Aretha:

This. And Gaga and Kevin Parker were using a Korg synthesizer keyboard in Mark's instagram photo (bottom-right corner)
