THROWBACK TO: Lady Gaga Wanted to Quit Music

She thought about quitting music all together.

“At the end of 2014, my stylist asked, ‘Do you even want to be a pop star anymore?’ I looked at him and I go,‘You know, if I could just stop this train right now, today, I would. I just can’t. [But] I need to get off now because I’m going to die.'"

2015 was really her grown woman year.

“This is the year I did what I wanted instead of trying to keep up with what I thought everyone else wanted from me.”

She has "one of the great voices of all time," according to BFF Tony Bennett, who taught her how to be more badass.

There is nobody more badass than Tony Bennett. That man is a part of the history of music in a way that is extremely powerful, and he taught me to stay true to who I am, to not let anybody exploit me.

She's doesn't seek attention,  she just "craves normalcy."

My whole career has been built on this perception that I’m trying to evoke attention because of the things I’m interested in, when it’s not that way at all.

I don't think she meant to quit pop music, just the way they wanted her to make pop music and how much they only wanted her to be successful instead of enjoying her own piece of art. That's why ARTPOP got so many rejected songs and projects, they only wanted the hits, not her lyrics (Brookyln Nights i.e.), her art or whatever.

SHE MEANT THAT   it was on her blackout before C2C, right when Troy left her & she fought against depression, she even said how Tony convinced her to keep doing music & she changed her whole perception

You got wrong concepts... of course I was a fan, I am right here hun. Tony only told her to do what she wants and not following rules, so I think this means that she of course likes to make pop music but not the way Troy wanted her to do it. If she didn't want to make pop music anymore she wouldn't be making LG5 and she would've broken her contract with Interscope already.

Wtf? So you're saying that they are bad fans because they like Gaga's pop? It's normal if fans like her pop music when she's been giving it for 7 years, as it's normal that some fans don't like her jazz music because it's not what their idol have been giving to them during the previous years. Like Madonna fans didn't like Evita after she made Erotica and Bedtime Stories, they appreciated her work, but it's not the product they wanted the most from her.

Of course, but if a fan from her early eras doesn't like any future project, nobody has the right to be saying that he's a bad fan. Me as a fan from the very beggining, if i ever get dragged for not liking CTC or saying that I'd love to see her working with DJWS rather than Mark Ronson, i would cut heads, because it's normal to like something that we've known for a long time more than something new and unexpected from your idol.
