Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett to release another Jazz album this year

I like that she's making another jazz album as that implies a tour and my c2c tour date was cancelled so I'd still love to hear her sing jazz.

HOWEVER I agree with the consensus that LG5 should be coming first and I'm not certain she has the time or stamina to release both by the end of the year; as is clear from how long it's taken to release LG5 alone. I'd love to be pleasantly surprised however.

It's very disappointing that she invests so much time into several projects at once when she KNOWS that all we want right now is LG5, everything else can come after.

Don't have any hopes for original songs. It'll surely be Cole Porter songs and maybe some extras. She sure doesn't have the time to do more than that.

I feel it'll be much jazzier, cause now she won't feel the need to be so belty and she's probably been listening lots of jazz and blues with Mark Ronson. I'm curious indeed how she's going to tackle this thing. Hope she gets one of the musicians helping her with LG5 in this project. Brian Newman's band is fine but they are average. Tony's musicians are great but too traditional

Yes the first album is too funk jazzy, it really lacks soul for me. She's just trying to sound good. I don't really think Gaga is amazing for covers. I don't feel connection in her voice with the music. When you listen to other versions, they really give it soul, but gaga lacks that. I think Gaga needs to write herself to give that touch imo.

Same, actually I wouldn't mind this album if she still releases LG5 at the same time... 

But honestly I'm pretty sure she'll give this jazz album a full promo like CTC and like all of her albums. So to me it mean LG5 in 2017, most probably. 

 

To me the best would have been release LG5 and once the era is done releasing new jazz album.

Yass at Gaga polishing her image even more to be in shape for LG5, yass at her for being so kind and making an album with Tony for his birthday. Tbh I can wait for LG5 because from what I see this year will be messy again in terms of releases and I'm good with her taking her time.

Ugh I want to be happy for her and Tony, but I just can't imagine another year of jazz promo... I really can't and they should just release the damn album in August, do A LITTLE promo just for like the release week or the week before and let it go. Then release the lead pop single in September while she is still getting good press from the jazz release.

Anyway, she can connect with the song if she loves it. Her whole thing with that record was, listen to my voice, i have such a strong voice, i can actually do this, i have talent. This time she has nothing to prove. It's just for the love of music. And i hope they make it as lowkey as possible, no camera's on studio, no fake's to be honest. Though part of what is Gaga is havin a balance between real emotion and fake one, more musical theatre o it. That's part of her performance

Compared to Amy Winehouse, it's clearly different. I just want a more syncopated rythm, less voice. Needs not to be more soulful

When I think about it I feel the huge promo mess lol Mixing two different eras would be a mess, one of the two albums promo will be wasted for sure (and I feel it would be LG5)

Sad to say this but I'm more interested by her new season in AHS (mostly because I love the show even without her) than what is coming in her music career...

Do you really believe in what you're saying..? This is have very short promotion, i'm sure. Her babby is LG5, we know very well how attachd she is to her songs. No way she'll not make the best she can to promote it. That doesn't fit Gaga.

What I'm confused about, is that she said she was focusing on one project at a time. This was clearly a lie. She's been working on AHSx2, C2Cx2, all those other side projects (Grammys, Oscars etc)  and apparently LG5. 

The worse part is that we will more than likely have all of this before her alleged new album. 

If the new era videos are plain and boring, I'm 100% unstanning.
