I love how so many people RUSHED in here to defend Bernie when there is literally nothing to defend but haven't even addressed all the problematic scheiBe he's done in the last 24 hours in other threads.

I hope to Gaga you aren't gay. That you would accept Sanders' trashing of longtime award-winning gay activist Peter Staley, his denouncement of first openly gay congressmen and co-writer of Dodd-Frank Barney Frank because he disagreed with him 30 years ago and is criticizing him today, and this current ****up goes to show how messed up your priorities are.

And yes I got angry at Hillary when she said that dumb Nancy comment. She swiftly apologized and has since (and before then) shown tremendous efforts in favor of the LGBT community. What has Sanders done? Put off an AIDS/Meeting, reschedule after heavy criticism, then mess it up? What an awesome ally.

What on earth are you talking about, who ever blindly agrees with everything an artist ever puts out?? I'm gay as can be and clearly I don't 'accept' the lyrical content of this song. But he obviously only played the beginning and cut it before the verse with the homophobic lyrics came on.

Wanting to kill everyone because they disrespect you is clearly hyperbolic, the same kind of sentiments used in every day speech lol

The message in this song glorifies attacks against LGBT (gay and trans) specifically.

It's like, it's totally fine to make games where you shoot Nazis, but it's not ok to make games where you shoot up gay bars because the people in it are gay. Shooting up gay bars because the owner owes you or has been an ass to you is totally acceptable though.

I'm discussing this under the framework of violence in media though. Clearly all of this should not be acceptable but we work with what we got lol  There are limits to how far that can go.

Hate speech against a specific demographic is never acceptable. Hating the entire world is something we all say at least once a week
