Born Brave 2,072
So my boyfriend and I went to see The Neighbourhood last night in Nashville (**** they are amazing!). And on the way home we started talking about how a lot of their songs sound like Lana's Born To Die album... We just chalked it up to coincidence but this morning I listened to them again and I just couldn't take it anymore. I had to find out who this amazing producer for them was and see if there was any connection... Emile Haynie produced all of their "I Love You" album and ALSO all of the good songs from BTD.. Off To The Races, Blue Jeans, Born To Die, Summertime Sadness, National Anthem. My mind was blown because I could hear it so distinctively and I read on his Wiki page and this guy has literally produced all of my favorite non-Gaga songs in the last 7 years. Needless to say he's definitely my favorite out there right now- he even produced for Natalia Kills. Does anyone else have a producer they only dream about Gaga working with one day? Jay.P 2,336
Always had moments where I thought "she should work with this producer" but I can't remember any now. Maybe William Orbit? Do you hear that? It's poison.

When I Love You was released, I noticed the similarities to Lana's music as well. That's when I discovered him. I promoted their album to the Lana fans on this site and got quite a little fanbase going for I Love You

Didymus 34,379
I remember Rick Rubin saying he wanted to do a record with Gaga, just go with her to a cabin for a couple of weeks and record it like they recorded Dope. Still pissed Gaga didn't say yes That would be my dream. He's a legend and Dope is the most passionate, heartfelt song of her career.
