Ronk 14,762
No, none of the above. I don't follow Gaga because of her music. I follow her because she is kind and spreads kindness, because she is dedicated to helping people in many ways, because she teaches kindness, compassion, caring, positivity, creativity, and art, and she lives all those things herself. She has made many people brave and strong and know they have self-worth and greatness within them. She is a mentor and leads by example. It's who she is as a person. Many think her greatest contribution is her music, but I think her gift to the world is herself. Yes, her music is amazing, creative, and inspirational, but it has nothing at all to do with why I follow her. So my choice would be "No, I have not lost any interest at all." I live outside the space time continuum.
Bad Bromance 5,809
No way! I love Gaga's music and artistry so much that I can't possibly imagine not stanning for her. I think a lot of the active users on this site are extremely impatient and don't even realize that waiting 3 years for an album is quite normal for musicians like Gaga who write all of their songs and create the visuals for the music videos and the entire album era. To me, this is all very normal so I am patiently waiting for the day when we get some news that the lead single is coming or that LG is being released on iTunes. When that day comes, I will be the happiest Little Monster on the planet. I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

You have to understand, at the time of Born This Way's release, it was EPIC. 1989 or Teenage Dream or Lemonade or BEYONCE or Miley's 2013 VMA....NONE of those things touch the magnitude of dominance Gaga reached leading up to Born This Way. It was ****ing insane. She was everywhere, on every show, in every commercial, being referenced in everything from SNL to The Simpson's. I mean....this is a time when Beyonce herself admitted she was nervous to meet Gaga. The media treated her like nothing had been this big in decades. You couldn't turn a corner without someone bringing her up....even the straight douchebag you knew on the high school football team knew the freakin lyrics to Born This Way (the song). And every ****ing time she released a music video....it was an event. Like....normal GP people would feel like they weren't cool if they hadn't checked out what the new Gaga video was. Then the Judas leak happened. Right before the release of the album. And as the second single it kind of failed Ok, but the video did incredibly well. So then came The Edge of Glory and there was this huge speculation it would be her greatest and most personal video yet, and she was expected to outdo Judas because of the whole leak thing ...and....the single did well....but not well enough, but even worse.. it was the first time Gaga had some highly publicized management issues, nixed the concept, and came out with a really basic video. And she was ALWAYS about the videos. It was not a Gaga single without an awesome video. (You also have to understand at this time with the hype there was this expectation that BTW would have like five or six #1s) So after TEoG failed to deliver, You and I kind of faired poorly, and then Marry The Night became her first single to not go Top Ten, and then the sixth single Heavy Metal Lover was completely cancelled. Not to mention the fact the BTWball ended early because if a broken hip. Ever since then, she has never really captured the pop spotlight. It was just like....her career was a machine traveling and chugging at a level not seen before, and it gave out. It just stopped working that fast. And it hasn't been the same since. I get what you're saying but it's unrealistic to think she would be able to maintain the same level of fame and success like she did between 2009 and 2012. No one can keep up with that level of success indefinitely as per the laws of gravity - whatever goes up, must come down. This does not mean that she won't be successful again because she has the talent and the drive to do so, but don't expect total pop domination like we saw during her meteoric rise to fame because that's simply not going to happen. If that's the level of stardom you're hoping for after she releases LG5, you're going to be incredibly disappointed. IMO, Gaga is going to have a successful comeback but it's not going to be at the level of TF/TFM and early BTW. Her level of success is going to be moderate but steady and meaningful. I'm okay with that because most of us already experienced her total pop domination and it was truly an incredible experience for us stans. I don't care what you think about unless it is about me. PopThatArt 2,193
1 hour ago, SISTERV said: More and more on here I see people starting daily threads about how they are annoyed or bothered that Gaga has taken so long on her upcoming pop project LG5, and to those fan's credit Gaga has always before each era given hints, lyrics, song titles, even talked directly to fans about each forthcoming era. Now I don't think Gaga should have pulled another ARTPOP and revealed the title 15 months in advance, reveal looks, perform 90% of the album weeks before release, constantly give fans song titles (I'm sure there were tons of songs on BTW, TFM we never heard but because she told a million song titles it's why fans always cry over ARTPOP b sides that never saw the light of day), but I do think there is a legitimate sense of unsatisfaction with little monsters because Gaga went from 100 to literally 0. She has always been a fan communicator, she practically branded the idea of fan community in the digital era....yet it seems now that she is a ghost. Her only tweets lack personality, and a shitty drawn XOXO Monsters over a snapchat selfie is about as personal as it gets. For me, it's not just the upcoming album/music that seems so clandestine and confusing....it's Gaga herself....this modern artist who always promised that "it will always come back to the music" and that "she would die for her fans". Now it seems like she wouldn't even wince at the idea of us being so without her. For an extermperaneous period of time, mind you. I understand people evolve, change, and that making her fans constantly happy shouldn't be a priority.....BUT....there is kind of a hypocrisy to her longest absence in her career. Yes...we've gotten covers, tributes, TV appearances, acting roles....but these things don't ever seem driven by her original message. I also notice many fans always talk about how we need to make sure she "captures the GP" (not even for hits, but purely to seem like she's impactful still) and they ignore the fanbase. It is a fanBASE for a reason....and if she loses her stans it will become impossible to reach the GP. And if she does, it won't be meaningful anymore. The core connection is important. When artists are 50, they need hardcore fans. It's what makes the difference between an artist who was part of an era, and a legendary icon. Gaga once said she'd never get caught without her heels. She said she wanted to be the next Iron Maiden because of their ability to cultivate a fan community. And I get occasional absences....but us there a point when she is gone too long? Have we reached it? And is it really a "betrayal" as she trademarked once if we begin to lose interest if that end of the bond hasn't been held up on her part? At what point does the clock stop ticking, and that tick tick tick tick can no longer be a boom? Not in LADY GAGA, we haven't seen much of her. I'm bored by this character she's playing now and has been for past while, is it the Countess, she's trapped in her mind set? Or is it just Stefani? Who knows. But I miss the LADY GAGA. Sunday 2,178
I feel indifferent tbh. You should include this in the poll I'm just a casual stan, but I have more things to look forward to than just LG5. I may not know how most of you here feel and cope with this pre-era, but we managed to go through pre-ARTPOP which was way worse. I hope you guys wont give up on her yet. lavenderblondee 3,695
I stuck through Gaga with AP, at this point I feel like I can withstand anything. I haven't lost interest, but I don't keep updated as much as I normally would, knowing there isn't much to be updated on. This also the longest we've gone without new music. It feels different than the wait with AP. I don't know if it feels longer or what, but it feels different. I'm so happy she's on the DL about this album, but I need SOMETHING to keep me sane. I'd love an album title at this point. The fact that we have no idea what this album will even sound like or be like is very interesting, but also terrifying tbh

Gagas love 722
I miss when being a little monster made you feel connected to her art more than her life. Now it's her life more than her art. I think she's brilliant and I'm trusting this is just part of the whole act. Km sure it won't last forever. Gaga will always change. this is just one type of Gaga. The Hollywood Gaga. She is getting bored of Hollywood. You could tell lol. Give it time
Gagas love 722
This started before ARTPOP. She has a monstervision where she's bathing with her fame soap. And she explains that she is breaking every rule she has as a celebrity. So this is her being a different person. trying it out. But it's not her. And she will leave it. She needed that rebirth. She always will be reborn between albu.s. She needed a farm and a lover to help her find her new self.
Gagas love 722
This is a classy grown Gaga with money and true love ARTPOP was a messy rebel who didn't give a **** Born this way was this bad ass rocker chic who was mysterious The fame monster was this chic pop diva extraordinare The fame was this disco club chic underground artist. I'm just wondering , since she's probably almost done with the album, it must mean she is done with the music. I'm sure me tally she's already bored of lg5 and when it releases, shell start her next phase. Through each single era, leading to break then the cycle begins again.
