They're not trying to make some legendary cinematic masterpiece. It's spoofy and nostalgic. No it won't be perfect but the backlash is more than it needs to be. Most of the humor seems like a miss, which is fitting because its the SNL cast in full force for some reason? Leslie Jones is a good writer, but shes not good @ delivering comedy tbh. It's a mess when people hire black people and then expect them to "act black" or "ratchet" or "ghetto" "extra", etc. Theres the real racism. People often don't want to see black people, they want to see caricatures of black people; just enough for them to say "Oh look a black person! And you know he/she is really black because they *insert stereotype*" Its a bit problematic that shes the only non scientist tbh (though I'm sure it was an oversight) but I, unlike many "men" in America do not find women roles to be threatening or even an example of an "agenda". Not that I would argue that representation and diversity are bad agendas at all, in fact I'd argue the opposite I wouldnt see this in theaters, not because of the problematic bits, but because with no prior knowledge the trailer did nothing to interest me. But this CGI looks really Sh*tty! if they were gonna bring back Ghostbusters, it should've been on a bigger budget. Thiss looks like those damn Scooby Doo movies.
