Poor animals, reading this has actually upset me. I feel heartbroken for the owners but also heartbroken for the poor dog that suffered such a vicious attack.  

I hope those dogs are taken away and given to a loving home, no animal should be bred to kill for our own benefit.

Side question: the Muslim had a poodle? I thought dogs were unclean animals in Islam. From Wikipedia:

"Many Islamic scholars agree that the saliva of a dog is ritually impure. Because of this factor, most Muslims tend to believe that a dog cannot coexist in a household with them."

But apparently this isn't a strict rule.

Well that's a first because I've been in Lebanon and I've seen a lot of Muslim families with pets, dogs in particular. Strange.
