I love Whitney but Mariah's songs are slightly better overall in my opinion, and Mariah's voice appeals more to me than Whitney's

I don't mind Whitney, she was an incredible talent.

But Mariah appeals more to me. It's probably because she was more involved in her music - songwriting and production wise.

Hmm I do prefer Whitney. Her voice speaks time much more and havent really ever liked Mariah and her whistles well NOR her music with a few exceptions.

I love Whitney's voice, it was very, very powerful, but I consider Mariah's voice to be out of this world. Plus, I enjoy her music more, even though I Have Nothing by Whitney is one of the most beautiful love songs I've heard.

Whitney's vocals were better Imo and she is more of an icon especially outside the us and Canada!
