RedOne is far from generic. He has created two of the biggest Pop songs in recent memory - Poker Face and Bad Romance. 

I like Ronson since his work with Back to Black and Uptown Funk, and have no problem with him producing on the album. However, if she scrapped RedOne I would be so pissed

But you mentioned in another post that she used to "overhype" things and that there is no middle ground.

After BTW people told her to just shut up and not say anything so people wouldn't get overhyped. Now the problem is that she isn't saying enough and she should just keep hyping

If she posted snippets people would complain that she is sharing her sound to early like her plans for ARTPOP. If she posted lyrics then people would complain she is overhyping and that she should just let the music speak for itself.

Could you imagine if she started teasing things now when they are saying "hopefully" it will be ready by the end of the year? It is 7 months until the end of the year. Could you imagine how much worse it would be if she started teasing lyrics or song titles in February or earlier?

I know that the comments then would have been "She is hyping too early!!" "There is still like 7 months until the album is ready and she is hyping us like crazy, it's going to be a disappointment!!"

The assumption seems to be that the album is near completion, and it has been that way since at least the ANNOUNCEMENT that she would star in AHS. She is taking her time and maybe her rationalisation is that she is pushing herself to do something completely new and wants to surprise us. Teasing too much would ruin the surprise.

The point is that I really don't think there is a way she could win here. If she had started teasing already people would be frustrated that it's still not released.

The core issue people have is that LG5 isn't out yet. People want new music desperately and are going to be frustrated regardless of what Gaga is doing before the release of new music.

I'm surprised to read so many meltdowns in this thread. I'm completely unbothered by this.  I want them to take all the time that they need to make this album and I have NO doubt that it will be amazing.

Really excited that Mark Ronson has a huge role in the creation of LG5.

I really think that she had like an album ready with the previous producers like RedOne, Moroder and others, but then Mark came and she wanted to start from the beginning.. Well, not really from the beginning, but changing the production, writing new material with him etc...

Plus, if she really is releasing at the end of this year, that's going to put her directly against Katy again (probably even Taylor)
