Potential Innovative way of Releasing Album

Before I start, let's make this a scenario where somehow this all goes to plan and nothing is messy.

My idea of how Gaga could reinvigorate the album market in a new and exciting way is to release the album on a normal schedule, no surprise releases or anything, but don't announce a lead single.

Instead, in the same way Gaga tried to get fans to vote for ARTPOPs second single, once the fans have heard the album, they can vote and choose this albums flagship song.

I'm not even sure about this, as it could get VERY messy VERY fast, but what are your opinions?

This could also stop the obvious chart issued by not actually releasing the album, but having listening parties in a way a large amounts of fans will have access to

That's not innovative.

Allie X would be trumping her. She's releasing all her finished and unfinished recordings and letting the fans put together the final tracklist. That's innovative.

Bio

Her relationship with the GP is too rocky for that. She's not Beyoncé. How would people know if they wanna buy the album when there isn't a lead single on the radio?

Gaga doesn't need experiments. At this point the only way for her to get back on top is to release fresh, catchy and relatable good music with great visuals and nice performances.

Singles are advertisements for the album, not necessarily just the artists fave.

It's whatever can be marketed and received well. So it encourages people to look into the record.

It's why the first and second single are always completely different songs

Agreed.  I think Gaga should follow Adele's model, or something similar to it, for releasing her new album.

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

I think you meant to say fantastic music, extraordinary visuals, and magnificent performances. Right? :staymad:

Gaga doesn't need gimmicks.

I would suggest a shorter timeframe between the debut single release and album release. No need to drag that out for months like Born This Way.

I love that girl so much. What a smart way to create buzz! We, the fans, get to construct her album. Stefani who?

I've thought about this before..

What if they let a group of ~100 monsters decide what becomes the lead single in a private place? Doesn't have to be 'real' monsters, it can also be radio representatives, businessmen or normal soccer moms and teenagers. I am sure they can keep it private and silent if they want to, just like with the DWUW video and the scene which apparently had fans in it.
