It's nice to see that you do the job for me while I'm at work :diane:

Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?

Well, that's a surprise. His song is cute, he's cute, his staging is cute... But I didn't expect it to be this high? Still not sure about him qualifying.

I always find the Serbian version better for some reason. I got the same feeling with Beauty Never Lies in 2015.

She's one of my favorites, but other people seem to not love it as much as I do.

And of course I will, but today was even a better day than yesterday, so it will be even more hard to judge them.

I think Nathan will qualify if Imri has meh staging but Israel have done well with stagings in 2015 and 2016

Like I said, today was the best rehearsal day so far. I'm really looking for tomorrow.

Let's start with my own country, the Netherlands. I was a huge fan of OG3NE before they were selected for Eurovision. The Netherlands wanted them at Eurovision since they won The Voice Of Holland some years ago. And OG3NE always loved Eurovision and they really wanted to go too. When the song was released it got mixed/negative reactions from the Eurovision fans. Most of the Dutch people liked it this time, thank god. Maybe the Netherlands loved it more because we know the harmonizing and great vocals that OG3NE can deliver. I've always loved the song, but I had to agree, it could be better. On the other hand this is a typical OG3NE song and I'm glad al our participants since Anouk (except Trijntje) are just doing their thing. I've been waiting for their rehearsal for so long. I was secure about their vocals, they never fail to deliver them. They really take Eurovision serious, you can see that in everything, but still I had my doubts with the staging before today. They said they were putting a lot of effort in it and thank god it shows. They did the right thing, they are elevating their song. They are going to the finals and I couldn't be more proud. They look beautiful, the outfits look great on screen, the story/emotions are really shining through with this staging, the visuals are great. I can breathe again, I know this will qualify and that's already enough for me. I'm so proud.

Then my favorite studio song from today, Macedonia. It was such a surprise when I heard this song for the first time. It almost became my ultimate favorite of this year. It's not my favorite anymore, but she's still in my personal top 5/10. But her vocals were weak at the pre parties, she looked a bit awkward on the stage, so I lost my faith in her along the way. I was even scared if she would make it to the finals at this point. Thank god her staging is a big meltdown like Belgium. Her vocals sounds acceptable/good. Her backing vocals are nice too, so I think that's not an issue anymore. The staging isn't bad either, I kinda like it, but she still seems a little bit lost on the stage for some reason. It's not really clicking with me/the audience. She still isn't able to fill the stage on her own in my opinion. Like I said, it's not a let down, but I'm not really blown away either.

I only have one other top 10 song left in this Semi and that's Serbia. I love the song. Some people are saying her vocals aren't strong, but in my opinion she's delivering great vocals. The staging is nothing special tho and that's a shame. There were elements in the video that they easily could bring to the stage. I'm not saying it's a bad staging, but I think they need a little extra to bring this to the next level. I hope they will add some extra's, I think they have something that could really give it a good placing. It's just a bit forgettable right now. Hopefully they will figure it out!

Austria is delivering something cute and dreamy again this year. After Zoë, they once again come with a cute song, a cute person/boy and a cute staging. This song was somewhere in the middle of my top, but I think the staging is bringing it too a whole other level. Everybody will remember that moon. I always thought this had a possibility to go to the finals, and I starting to get more confident it will. He's one of the less boys in this semi-final, so that will be a benefit for him too. Good job Austria.

Breathlessly, this song always had a special place in my heart. It's far from my favorite, it's dated and not my cup of tea, but I think she is delivering the best power ballad this year. Her vocals are amazing like always. The staging is working, but also a bit strange to me. It's really becoming a thing this year, were everybody is putting themselves on the LED screen. She should pick a better dress to make it a more solid performance, since she's showing more skin on the visuals than she is in real life. Could be a surprise qualifier.

Talking about dated ballads, hi Ireland. I really think this song is hate it or love it one. Even though I'm not hating it, I really don't like it. His voice reminds me of Brintey Spears, that's just putting me off. He really can sing tho, that's not the case. Besides his voice, I really don't like the song either. And his staging, well, I don't get it. Why is there a hot air balloon? It does look really good, but it's not connecting with the song in my opinion. I don't think they will make it to the final once again, but never say never.

Let's talk about a surprisingly good performance again. Romania did really bring a party to the stage. I've to be honest, I didn't like their song, it sounds cheesy and cheap to me. Their vocals aren't really strong and their English isn't that good. But their staging is really amazing. I'm sure those canons will fire some confetti at the end. It's a hot mess and this time I love it. It's a party and Eurovision need this kind off songs. It will probably end higher than I want it to be. Great job Romania, you did turn me over. I'm sure they will be in the finals.

At this point I don't remember the other two countries and that's a bad thing. Let's start with Denmark. The beautiful Anja, with her amazing vocals managed to be forgettable. Her performance is one big Eurovision cliche. Her song never was something great, but she was deliver it with her great vocals and elevating it and she still is. But, the staging is really making this forgettable, there are other great vocals in this semi, so she probably won't stand out enough. I hope she wasn't wearing her final outfit today, because it was a mess. It's a shame, she was one of my favorites to make it to the final. Maybe the GP will like it, since they always like songs like this.

The other country I forgot was Hungary. Another song I had nothing against to, but not a favorite either. He looked lost and nervous today. The staging was nice though. The dancer and the pyro really gave it the right atmosphere, it's fitting to the song and it's giving the music video vibes. I don't know where they will finish, I think there is a chance they will go to the finals.

That's it for today. :poot:

Exactly, if Israel isn't bringing something good to the stage, this will be a walk in the park for Nathan.

Iceland and Finland are both underrated every single time, that's why I didn't put them in the top 10.

Svala could fail, but it would truly be a crime if Finland woulnd't qualify. It's a top 10 song al least! Though, bookies now hold them at 11th position, so... All signs are positive.

Yeah, I didn't check the odds the other day. But I changed my mind and I really think Finland will be in the finals. I just find it hard to predict this year to be honest. A lot of songs are on the same level.

2nd semi-final is a bloodbath! I can see at least 14 songs which could qualify. My my :saladga:
