But he's Belgian so I don't get why he would represent France tbh. I would also be super pissed since he's our country's musical treasure so we would have a shot at winning again. He only got 2 points. Still Australia is making sure they can stay at Eurovision with this performance: I was completely disgusted with jury being so biased with Australia. That horrible performance and screeching earned the 4th place? Have the members of juries been swapped with 15 year-old teenagers who have no taste in music? God, that 2 points from the televoting were a God's gift. Too bad he ended up in top 10 anyway
Dutch 90,796
Listening to Alma her album right now. Oh how I love the popmusic from France. If you did like Requiem you will like this album too:

It depends on the way it connects with the audience. "Amar pelos Dois" connected with the majority of the audience in a deep way, even though most of the people didn't understand the portuguese language (music as an universal language) By the way, for example, anyone remembers the Conchita song? (or only the fact she was transgender?) or that Sweden song that won a few years? Salvador tried to revitalize the Eurovision with a song full of pure emotions and substance/meaning. He made people listen to his voice in the middle of a contest made of futility and plastic. That same old formula of an Eurovision song has been used many times. It's time for something new. Also, a good song is like a good wine. P.S.: "Eurovision Song Contest". Isn't it about the best 'song'? It's not about the fireworks or the celebrity which is more memorable in a short time frame. Time will tell the truth. A Star is Born ⭐

He will probably change the way some countries look to this contest in the upcoming years, leaving the same old Eurovision-pop-trendy formula.
