From ABC News:

The presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump continued to refuse to release his tax returns and today declined to reveal his tax rate.

Joining "Good Morning America" this morning, ABC News' George Stephanopoulos asked Trump what his tax rate is, and Trump simply replied, “It’s none of your business.”

The billionaire also saying he has no foreign bank accounts and emphasized he runs a “clean” business.

Stephanopoulos asked Trump: “Yes or no, do you believe voters have a right to see your tax returns before they make a final decision?”

“I don’t think they do. But I do say this, I will really gladly give them,” Trump answered, adding, “I have no problem, and it should be and I hope it’s before the election.”

No one even cares about tax returns except the media. They asked people on the street yesterday and people just shrugged their shoulders.

So you're totally fine with this but still salty about Hillary and speeches.

Apparently words speak louder than actions for some of you.

I don't care either, even if releasing Tax Returns is actually something all candidates do.

I just wish people would be more consistent in what they want.

I'm interested for this reason on top of just his disgusting history of mis-stating how much he is worth or has (and others doing it and being sued for it :rip: ) The fact that there is literally nothing holding him back from sharing them other than him not wanting to is seriously disconcerting :sis:

I honestly hope Anonymous does get them, even though that's a pretty hefty breach and totes illegal af, if he has anything to hide (Nixon teas :sis: ) we don't want any risks of tampering. Also, the suspicious factor of him literally saying he'd have to wait till November, but just really wants to get it out b4 the election :neyde: Like, bitch being audited does not stop you from releasing your tax information at ALL.

This might be the most appropriate time for this gif:

Legal Experts Side With Trump; It Would Be Totally Stupid to Release His Taxes During Audit

http://lawnewz.com/politics/legal-experts-side-with-trump-it-would-be-totally-stupid-to-release-his-taxes-during-audit/

The reasons:

First of all, and most importantly, the IRS is not allowed to show your client’s tax returns to anyone else. Such returns are protected by the privacy laws of section 6103 of Title 26 of the Code

Second, releasing the returns during an audit could cause anyone who has a grievance with you to misuse the released information, and try to intervene in the audit process, for their own personal, financial or political gain. I have been through this several times in other contexts where such records were obtained by people with an interest adverse to my client, which unnecessarily protracted the process as undue expense and harassment of my client.

Third, tax returns usually reveal business strategies that may need revision during the audit process, for which untimely disclosure could unduly hinder and harm, with third parties often the victim as much as the client.”

----

So...the reasons are "none of anyone's business", "makes people want to misuse what they see", and "reveals strategies that may be used against them".

....

Sound familiar? :toofunny::deadbanana:

The hypocrisy of defending him when candidates have always released tax returns even during audits :rip:

So you want him to go against all legal advice and do this?

What "legal" advice? The only part which has anything to do with legality is the first. Tax returns are not supposed to be released without your permission. All candidates do it anyway because tax returns are the simplest way to get a background check on someone's fiscal activities.

The second and third are irrelevant to the law.

The former is potential abuse of the released information when released. No ****. When your information is made public, people can use it. Anyone on the Internet knows this.

The latter is potential is potential revealing of strategies. Again, this is also a side-effect of running for president. People want complete transparency in your strategies.

At least that's what they've been telling me for the last few months. The only difference here is that tax returns have always been released by candidates, while private speeches have not.

Well it comes down to what the voter wants. People don't care about Trump's taxes. But they care A LOT about those transcripts. There is no evidence that Donald is hiding anything. But there is a lot of evidence that Hillary is. She has been sitting on those speeches for a long time. and the only conclusion is that the contents of them would destroy her candidacy.

...? Who are you to speak for what the people want?

Also, do you mean the guy who has had four bankruptcies, skirted the line between tax avoidance and illegal tax evasion more than once, and very possibly has been overblowing the amount of income he has made as a "self-made" businessman over the last few decades ... has nothing to hide?

You're so biased it hurts :deadbanana:
