Hillary is not evil. She has her faults, like lack of charisma and needs to work on her optimism, but you are painting her with a brush with nothing but rhetoric and assumptions as your paint.

Have any of you even researched her credentials? I'll be honest. Interacting with some of you has revealed that you don't really understand why you hate her, using grand statements and hyperbole to justify any of your opinions, while quoting articles that are either incredibly biased or proven false.

What's even more disheartening is that I've spent hours speaking with some of you and you still haven't reevaluated your opinions despite being presented with solid counterarguments. Are you that subjective? Are you that adamant to hate her?

It's disappointing that so many view of you view her as the extreme. Even if you distrust her for whatever reason, your reasons are based on pride not rational thinking. Trump has got the GOP and even some Bernie supporters hoping for anarchy as a chance for change.

It's as if Hillary does not represent what you stand for. So what if she's "establishment" like you claim she is. Do you honestly value principle over reality? This isn't a joke.

I'll chalk it down to your youth and inexperience. If you think that's condescending it really isn't. As someone who actually come from a country writhe with corruption and destitution, you are completely overdramatizing just how bad you have it.

You think everything is out to get you, and it seems like you don't care about people who can't afford your idealism. You're casting away years of progress to go all Nader at a time when the tables can finally be flipped in the favor of Liberals.

Do you want another Bush administration? All of the problems you quote stem from that era. Do you not even remember the Clinton administration? Do you not even recognize the efforts and change that the Obama administration has brought?

Even if you differ on one or two issues... Even if you don't approve of her practical approaches... those don't constitute letting it all go to hell. This is incredibly selfish. I can't find an alternate word.

There's a difference for standing for what you believing in, and doing what you want and bringing down everyone with you. Your aims are true, but this is not an opportune time.

Your pride is nothing compared to what's at stake. You need to let it go. Stop.

Stop letting your delusional misplaced hatred of Hillary stop you from making the right decision.

Some people here are hopeless. The other day I saw a Bernie supporter like the misogynistic comment that Trump made. If they approve of such lingo, it's clear their bias is too late to save.

Many of yours isn't though. I urge you to reconsider.

I wrote a reply to a user today. Hopefully you'll read it. It's halfway in.

I'm going to take the time to vote lol that doesn't make any sense... it's like you're knocking Bernie supporters for being lazy and not turning out to vote, but immediately after say "Let the small percentage go vote for a third party." So which is it? Do we not put an effort into voting? What isn't fun is having an oligarchy instead of a democracy.

I'm not. It's a fact that it is hard to get people to vote in the first place, even moreso when they are voting by default. My statement wasn't referring to Bernie voters, but to voters who are voting third party or writing in a name and doing so because their candidate wasn't the nominee. In that situation, most will let any excuse keep them from voting...where they wouldn't have done the same if their original pick had made it. That's why rain on Election Day is seen as a big issue. :)

Voting for a third party candidate is pointless. Might as well not vote at all tbh.

Because we don't let ourselves be swayed by yellow journalism?

What are those reasons you are bringing up?

1) She's not fit for president because people want to assume she's lying despite being shown otherwise? Yes she's lied on occasion but show me one politician who hasn't. It's like you don't understand Hillary is in the spotlight and is being targeted for every word she utters. She's not the most charismatic person so she's often said unfortunate things while under pressure and had her words twisted by the GOP to make it seem like a bigger issue.

2) She's not fit for president because of one unfortunate situation during her tenure? There have been 120 foreign diplomacy deaths since WW2. International politics is a fickle thing and is often dangerous. Do you dismiss the actions of Colin Powell because of an incident or two?

3) She's not fit for presidency because of a woman allegedly making the claim that she was raped, with Hillary being tasked to be on the case and being capable of proving it wrong? I know it's modern culture to believe that all crimes are true, but this isn't the case here and it's clear that this is a smear piece. "I read it on the Internet. It must be true".

4) Oh noes she accepted money for the Clinton Foundation from foreign governments and is using it! Clearly it's all being funneled into her campaign. Oh noes!' How about you google what her campaign does :rip: Where do these assumptions come from?

5) Being endorsed by Obama is a bad thing now? :air:

6) Are you kidding? Of course she would stand by her husband. These are women that made unbased claims about the president's actions, when the president was already under fire for the Lewinsky scandal. She's going to call women who make false accusations trailer trash out of rage. Who the hell are you to decide what the truth is? It's as if calling out women who are taking advantage of the situation renders her position for all womankind irrelevant.

7) What a desperate way to bring a 7th point. If anyone champions the middle class it's Hillary Clinton :rip: Why bring up her speaking fees in the same point? This just reeks of desperation.

Regarding the other one, using the statements from one disgruntled fired employee doesn't constitute truth.

Stop falling for yellow journalism.

And for God's sake stop bringing up Benghazi. The GOP has literally admitted to fabricating and blowing the situation out of proportion in an attempt to smear her.  They couldn't even find one issue at her hearing. It's like you don't even pay attention :rip:

Misunderstood, my apologies. And truthfully, while I absolutely adore Bernie Sanders, my qualm is mostly in voting for Hillary Clinton. It makes my stomach churn. I vote based on two things: issues and integrity. This is my first national election, and I feel a responsibility to vote based on who I can trust and who I think would make the best president. I'll be voting third party not out of spite (although I do hold the setup of the American electoral system in contempt), but out of a desire to support somebody who I see many of my views embodied in.

Refute my points with actual good reasons and I'll eat my words.

You rely on yellow journalism too much. How about you read proven political documentations more often?

One wonders if your stomach is churning because you are refusing to actually attempt to understand her and are going off by misinformed gut feelings.

My stomach churned when I saw broccoli for the first time. It didn't help that all the cartoons I watched showed kids hating it.

Then I ate it, and voila. I eat it daily.

Bernie has violated his integrity several times, yet you justify them because he's your favorite.

This isn't about integrity either. This is not about puritan beliefs. It's about pragmatism.

This is your first election? Awesome. How about you not undo the efforts of all those who came before you due to badly timed fantasies. It's like you believe that everyone else's dreams are irrelevant to yours. How is that not remotely selfish? Why not convince people rather than forcefully drag them down to your visions?

I find it implausible that everything that I have said so far hasn't given you some pause.

Your hatred runs too deep. I hope you transcend it some day.

I used to love Clinton. My parents were devout Clinton supporters in '08 and were beyond themselves when Obama beat her. We then went to his inauguration. I understand that you win some and lose some, and that being practical is an important virtue, particularly in the world of Washington politics. I do not, by any definition of the word, "hate" her. And I also do not think of Bernie as a God. He absolutely has violated his integrity MULTIPLE times – he is, after all, a politician.

I do like to be empirical when I formulate my political views. To the level I hate the two-party system, I hate the way the media has portrayed BOTH Hillary and Bernie. However, in looking through what Clinton believes and I what I believe, I've found that my views are more aligned with Sanders'. I appreciate the way by which Sanders has gone about his campaign more than Clinton's. I prefer his (I will give you, impractical and fantastical) optimism to Clinton's more pragmatic moderation. I like that he his views are (largely) the same today as they were 40 years ago. I do not knock Clinton for evolving on her views – I knock her for running on her "record," when her record is full of flip-flops – and I'm not sure how you can defend that. Again, to reiterate, I'm not criticizing the flip-flops, but the fact that she glazes over them instead of owning them and attempts to sell herself as more liberal than she really is. I very much like the fact that with Bernie, you know virtually exactly what you're getting when you vote for him.

I agree that voters have a responsibility and that it's our obligation to uphold the changes those before us have made. However, I think you are sensationalizing Trump a little too much. We are a country of checks and balances. The president can only do so much, and while I don't want to downplay the damage Trump could inflict on our civilization, I'm not sure that it would be as horrible as everyone seems to believe.

By not giving into a corrupted system, I think that I will be a part of a something that benefits all Americans down the road. This is one election, and despite its potential lasting consequences, I'm willing to risk that. I think a lot of the Sanders supporters are really just altruistic and they see two ways to go – deal with Trump, or deal with Clinton. I don't want either. I would rather have Stein, and that's how I'll be voting.

Take that as foolish, I understand where you'd be coming from... but I don't want to be somebody who helped stop Trump, I want to be somebody who didn't give into Trump in the first place.

It's not about Trump. Trump will push for Republican interests and liberal policies will either be blocked, or even worse, backtracked where possible.

If the Supreme Court Judge decision is not complete by the time he assumes the position, he'll be free to nominate a Republican one. A Republican-biased Supreme Court has far more lasting impact than you realize.

You are making too many assumptions here. This is not "one" election. This is a pivotal election at a time where many liberal policies you supposedly espouse are on the verge of being enacted or dismissed.

Honestly this risk you're taking is not yours to take. You're dragging down everyone along with you. I'm not saying you should give in to peer pressure or vote what's not in your interest, but doesn't society interest you at all? You speak of anarchy, not civility.

I'm sorry but you can deny it all you want. A potential liberal refusing to vote is voting for Trump. You're splitting the vote. The GOP won't support Jill Stein. Their entire base will go for Trump if they have to. This isn't blackmail. It's the reality. It's what got Nixon in the White House. It's what got Bush in the White House.

We still talk about their failures to this day.

Do as you wish. Your vote matters, but not as much as you think, and at the end of the day people with more experience and better judgement know what to do. Let's hope they make up for your idealism, allowing you to continue living your life as you mock them.

I lost my support for Bernie a while ago anyway, I believe that there are no main candidates this year that will be good for the future of America. Bernie is way too taxing on the rich, they do need to pay their fair share but 52% income on the rich is a lot of money to be giving away to the government, especially since there is no cap on how much you pay.

Hillary is crazy, so is Trump, so is Cruz.

I lean towards Hillary, though, based on her current policies and not on her past. It's not an easy decision I made though

This! Bernie is way too left winged and businesses wont like it...

And I dont like any other candidates either...

I too would pick Hilary out of everyone but I dont really like any of them

The only candidate i originally liked was Carly Fiorina cause she was very logical and had good economic ideas that were balanced. But even her I lost support for when I realized how much she was into expanding military which already has too much resources devoted to.

I dont like any candidates this time around. What a failure :rip:

Yes.

I totally understand where you're coming from. I've mulled over it the past few months as Bernie's chances grew grimmer and grimmer. Trump horrifies me, he does... but I refuse to be help hostage by him and be forced into the corner with a woman I see as supercilious and corrupt. The system we have is what has produced Trump, and I don't want to buy into that same system by voting for somebody I do not want. Isn't that what voting is supposed to be? Voting for the candidate you see as best fit to run the country? I do not believe Hillary Clinton is the best fit to run the country. If literally everybody else in the race aside from Clinton and Trump miraculously dropped out and left them solo, then (and only then) would I vote for Clinton. Unless that happened, there are superior options.

I understand the stakes. Trump would be a complete disaster. I refuse to violate my beliefs in order to prevent the greater evil. If I have my personal rights stripped as a result, so be it. I understand others don't want that, and that's fine. Perfectly understandable. Personally, I disagree and will be voting my conscience.

I understand that you hold your opinions so close but, I just think all of you Bernie or Bust supporters will regret it when Trump undoes everything the democrats have worked for in helping this country. There are just so many beliefs that Bernie subscribes to that Trump will undo, for example lowering the minimum wadge. I know Hilary is your last choice but, a lot is at stake in this general election and if Trump is elected we will be continuing a vicious cycle of Democrats and Republicans undoing what has been done by the previous.

I'm not saying they're evil. I'm saying their banks are piling up massive amounts of money and it's literally so unnecessary. The mJority of the population live paycheck to paycheck because they're being taxed as harshly as These rich people. And to us it matters, and it forces us to live under poor conditions, but to them it's nothing. They can afford it. They don't need that much money when there is such a poverty and wealth distribution issue in our country.

Just my opinion.

Kind of in the same vein, I've always found it ironic that some conservatives call those on welfare, WIC, social security, etc "leeches" or "the entitlement generation" when many filthy rich CEOs (or people in general) are always looking for ways to maximize profits and stash the money they make offshore. They'll make dangerous cuts, get rid of benefits entirely, lower or refuse to raise the salary for their employees but at the same time multiply their own wages multiple times over.

Who's really the sponge on our economy? It's not the families below the poverty line that work their fingers to the bone and do everything they can to take care of themselves, it's the fat cat assholes who are colorblind to anything that's not green. That was one of Bernie's main points and one of the first things that actually turned me on to him. Tsk...such a shame he can't win...

Whimsical bitch
