Since I was a Gaga fan during my early childhood years I was watching the VMA's with my mom and when Lady Gaga started performing Paparazzi I asked my mom "Mommy does Lady Gaga grow new hair everyday" (cause of her wigs or weaves) my mom said "No Honey it's just a weave" little did I know Gaga was about to snatch my weave.Halfway through the performance I was singing every word and when she got on the piano I was sort of scared,When she started "bleeding" I really peed my pants and said "MOMMY! IS SHE GONNA DIE!MOMMY CALL 9-11" even my mom was kinda scared."Literally everyone the next day including my teachers talked about that performance and we're going crazy about it,what was your reaction?

Stunned in the best way. That performance was groundbreaking for a lot of people and the real deal-sealer for many fans. I know it was for me.

After seeing that, I knew I was in for a wild ride for years to come.

I thought she was really bizarre and not necessarily in a good way :neyde:. Everyone was talking about it at school the next day (this was in 9th grade) and we were all like "omg...she's so weird...haha..." :neyde:

Flash-forward seven years and here I am, ready to donate my kidney to her if she needs it :neyde:

I thought it was shocking and weird.  At the same time, I also thought it was amazing and fascinating - I LOVED it!  My brother and his gf were watching too and they were like "wtf" the whole time.

That was the moment when I started to fall in love with her. :nick:

I remember being completely blown away. The intro, the dancing, the piano playing, the high notes, and the theatricality. It was one of the first performances I had ever seen by ANY artist that actually took my breath away. I had become a hardcore fan from her American Idol performance, but the VMA one only solidified it. I was completely mesmerized by her talent, passion, and vision.

I was listening to her already and admired her music.  Watching the performance escalated her admiration in my book.

It was literally the moment I became a fan. I will never forget experiencing her theatrics, vocal skill and choreography... it was almost too much for me. I'm pretty sure Gaga took my virginity with that performance. (Also her MMVA performance of Poker Face and LoveGame had a similar effect on me.)

By the way... this killed me :toofunny:

Yo GagaGaga

I was surprised how good the vocals were for all of the moving around, and I spent like 2 hours wondering where the blood came from

Spoiler

it came from the left bra cup thing with the red jewels on it right???

I only discovered it in 2011, and I had no idea how big it was. I thought it was just a random performance. I saw it and I immediately loved it. The theatricality of it all, the dancing, the thigh-high boots, the blood... Oh dear, the blood. I had the performance saved on my phone and I rewatched it over and over and I just loved it. It was only until 2013, when I started visiting forums, that I found out it was one of the early highlights of her career. I still love it.

EDIT: I was a just a fan in 2011. It wasn't until 2012, during the ARTPOP drought and when she disappeared, did I become more interested. By 2013, ARTPOP had baptized me and turned me into a full stan. ARTPOP is the reason I joined this cult site  :hor:
