Taylor set to turn film star for a big screen version of Murder, She Wrote.

The Red singer is a huge fan of the classic 80s & 90s TV series, which starred Angela Lansbury as mystery writer-turned-sleuth Jessica Fletcher.

As she takes a break from the music industry, pals have revealed the star is now eyeing an acting role.

And taking on the role of her favourite detective is next on her list.

 

A friend revealed: “Taylor was always watching re-runs of it, and even bought a few box sets on DVD.

“As a kid, she always wanted to be a detective.”

The Shake It Off hit-maker is taking a break from music for a few months to spend time with DJ boyfriend Calvin Harris and plan the next stage of her world domination — and has been taking acting lessons.

The friend added: “Acting is definitely on her agenda — and sooner rather than later.

“Taylor gets sent a lot of scripts and thinks that maybe now’s the time
to seriously consider a big Hollywood role.

“She is determined to prove herself as an actress and not just a singer who dabbles in movies.”

The ambition is not a new one for the pop babe, as she has appeared on screen before.
