I just don't think they casted right. I'm sure I'll enjoy it but he doesn't seem like a good choice. But when I found out jesse eisenberg was lex luthor....that was true outrage :rip:

TBH I never like how Lex is portrayed in the movies. I always considered Lex like a Bond villain suave,  debonair and every bit as good with women as Bruce Wayne. Also smart enough to get away with what he does like he wasn't even involved. I think he was best portrayed in Smallville and even that fell short to show how brilliant he is. But other than that the movie was epic.

Yeah, I'm reading reviews and they're criticizing it for being too much of a typical "superhero movie"...Well, that's what it is guys. When you rate a turd in the toilet you don't rate it based on how bad it smells, you rate it on how good it looks. How's that analogy for ya? :emma:

I saw the movie and it's one of the best Superhero movies I'ver seen. Imo it's on par with The Dark Night and Ben Affleck is the best Batman ever portrayed. Critics can **** off once again. (and I was never a superhero nerd so I can gurantee that i am not biased at all).

Its ok to like the movie, but its not nice to talk this way about movie critics, just because they dont agree with you. What people fail to understand is that movie critics are basically hardcore moviegoers who are paid to share their opinions. And they are rarely wrong, especially with a movie that has 30% approval, especially for a movie of this type. They are also the ones that rewarded the other Batman movies with rave reviews, so that should tell you something. Also, without the help of the critics, Ben Affleck would have not won that Oscar for Argo or less people would have seen it and his chances to get to play Batman would have been minimum. They are essential for the true artists of Hollywood, especially in a world where to promote a movie like Batman costs the same or more than to actually make it.

People will always complain when it comes to adapted movies, especially comic book movies. I just can't believe the amount of hate that you see whenever an X-Men, Superman, Batman, Spiderman or Avenger movie gets released. The fans can sometimes be really harsh, especially the ones that read comic books. I just go to the movies and enjoy a movie for what it is. I was a huge fan of the X Men animated tv series and even though I expected to see some things on the movies, I also love those for the way that they were made.

I don't know if it's just the fans or they have the NEED to throw trash at something, but yes. People will ALWAYS complain about things. Not just movies, but you see that with artists. They love the first album and they keep comparing every album they release to the one they loved first. Things will not always be the same and have to be different, and they just don't get that.

I have not watched Batman Vs. Superman and I haven't even watched the trailers because people kept talking about it that I just stayed away from it. I will go to the movies this weekend and have my own opinion of it. I am not a super fan and I didn't read the comic books but I was a kid once and I grew up watching animated shows and had toys and stuff like that, but I will just enjoy the movie. I honestly never cared about Affleck being the new Batman.

Simply not true.

Xmen First Class 87% critics approval

X Men Days of future past 91%

Avengers 92% and 75%

Batman begins 85%

Batman The dark knight 94%

Batman The dark knight rises 87%

Batman versus Superman 30%

As you can see, people only complain to bad movies.

Movies are wrong most of the time with movies like this though. The thing with critics is that they are stuck in many stereotypes that hey can't escape from...

I feel like many of this critics came from people who were prepared to give a negative review instead of a constructive one. They've done the most to discredit all the hard work put in this movie. But like you said, they've failed.

That are misconceptions. Otherwise, all superhero movies will have bad reviews, which is far from true.

Ben was a fantastic Batman, so he shouldn't feel bad on his part.

The writing was bad. Not the worst, but it wasn't great.

Henry Cavill's Superman continues to be as dull as he is. I love Amy Adams, but she doesn't work as Lois Lane. I hate Jesse Eisenberg, and I wasn't convinced by his Lex Luthor. Gal Gadot is a great Wonder Woman.

I'dstill hit a split on Cavill's lap

No, they are not. All the other Batman movies have more than 80%. Avengers has 92^ and 75%, Xmen 87% and 91%.

And then its this movie who has 30%. I think only Green lantern is lower. Even Daredevil has 44%.

Yes, I never said that they give only bad reviews. I said that their criteria are not right most of the time... Have you actually seen the movie?

From my knowledge, the criteria is right 90%. They dont go to a superhero movie and expect Shakespeare, but they always keep an open mind if something surprising is coming, like it happen with the first Batman, which kinda reinvented the genre and made it more serious and real.

I dont know if I will go to see the movie. At 26%, the rating is too low. I will still probably see it sometimes, but I try not to support Hollywood garbage and the indicators are unfavorable to the movie. I also didnt like Man of steel and that was 56%.

Well, see the movie first and then talk about it. I'm sure you will change opinion... Oh and metascore is at 44...

Gov Hooka

yet these critics praised The Avengers for the exact same reasons they are criticizing this movie.

these idiots can't make up their mind and are as good of opinion holders as the average Bill or Joe. i'm sick and tired of giving their opinions any more importance than others.
