ComeToMama 4,351
GYPSY or SPEECHLESS I can't pick one, both are just too damn good. Speechless is so nostalgic and sentiment to me. So many memories, being TFM was the first album I had ever bought for myself. It was one kf my fav on the CD initially. And then Gypsy comes from my fav album. And the songs is just perfection. The lyrics, the music. Both are very special to me and I have a lot of emotional ties to each song.
LoveandMagic 1,731
To me, her absolute best songs are Marry the Night, The Edge of Glory, and Bad Romance (in that order). The first two are the best written, have such an incredible sound and energy to them, they are and will remain absolute timeless classics. BR is such an incredibly fun song, mainly because it's so distinctly Gaga-esque, it is Gaga in virtually every way it can be, which makes it absolutely delicious. Judas is my personal favorite. It's also a very "Gaga" song and while the lyrics aren't the best, I so live for it (especially the instrumental). It's also the one single that really had me start paying attention for her as an artist (BTW album turned me from a hater to a stan). Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
Mus 7,883
Bad Romance made me a stan, but my favorite Gaga song is Heavy Metal Lover. I remember when she released the Gagavision 41 and it had the HML instrumental I really liked the sound and couldn't wait to hear it on the album and to know it's title. When the Born This Way album came out, the first thing I did was look for the song that had the instrumental and when I found it I became obsessed with it. Really couldn't stop listening to it! I love this side and style of Gaga, with the leather, rock influences, the rebel atitude and the lyrics of the song really shows that. And the "I could be your girl, girl, girl, girl, girl girl But would you love me if I ruled the world, world, world?" part is incredible, I just love it! What’s in a reverse-warholian expedition? Brian Ryan 1,468
Applause because it's about to me just picking up where things went wrong for better or worse and keep going pushing through building milestones. Just doing your thing, prospering, and loving the love that you get. I can truly relate to the song. I been through a lot and I just keep pushing. I actually want this as a tattoo. Dope hits me so hard because I have a precious few people that I actually connect with and that actually understand me and addiction has been a problem for me in the past. I nearly flunked out of school because of it...and the guy that got me hooked on all the garbage I was on is why I love and relate to Swine those few years in my life have, unfortunately, defined me ever since and Dope and Swine both sound like they're directly from that time. Thank you. I hope you are in a better place. Dope is too real for me to deal.

Guest
Dance in the Dark holds a great deal of nostalgia for me still, and I've always had a soft spot for it. Other songs of hers have always fluctuated above it, but when the dust settles, that's always my go-to Gaga song.

Yet for some odd reason I don't love the song as a whole equally. Don't know why. Well, it's kind of harsh the way it starts out, and I could see how her saying Juda-Judas-Juda or the Ah-ahhh-ah can get a bit irritating. I adore the song and practically every tone and note, but sometimes certain combos of sounds just don't click for certain people. It's like Bad Romance or Venus, I could see why someone wouldn't like those songs due to certain parts (even though I think Bad Romance is brilliant and I like Venus). With Born This Way, I think it's her very best album (so far) but the sounds in it often aren't "pretty." Her voice or the instrumentals can get really intense, rough, and loud. I could see where that combo might not work for others as much. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

Vodka 4,478
I've been visiting this topic several times now, and currently, I could solidly say that my favorite Gaga song is "Just Dance". It was her breakthrough hit, and this is when I started really paying attention to her as a music artist. Also, for me, it's got sentimental value, and having that song released at the time made life a bit better. Annd, I mean, I think it's an absolute pop classic. (Those introductory synths ) Who knows though, I don't think Gaga really plans to be done with music (anytime soon too), so maybe it'll change. I'm sticking to this particular track mentioned above though. Spoiler Lol I had to haha Yes, I also do love partying in moving houses as seen in that one Bacardi tv ad. llbcherry 591
I'm not going to over think this. I am going with my gut. I am also choosing to mention 3. Why? Because they are each so fundamentally different from the others, it wouldn't make sense to pit them against another. One is pure pop bliss, one is an inspiring pop-rock jam, the other a serious, though sometimes silly, acoustic love song never released! Here goes! 1. Bad Romance - not much to say. It really is a pop masterpiece. In 50 years, I think this is the song that will be most associated with Gaga. Iconic!! 2. The Queen - glad some others chose this. I just love this song. The lyrics are inspiring, like telling you to forget what everyone thinks, to just be and celebrate yourself. The melody is gorgeous.. and of course, the slow down at the end. It just grabs my soul every time I hear it. It has an other worldly quality to it. It makes me think beyond life and death, about the universe and the cosmos, and how we are all a part in it. 3. Future Love (amFar performance especially) - so underrated. I love how it's a little naughty, so full of passion, yet also has a pain and a yearning. The lyrics are clever. Her vocals are perfect, especially the soaring vocals during the bridge. It slays me every time!!!
