I mean, I bet I'll love anything Gaga decides to give us, but realistically I'd love for her to try something new with this record, so no more dance music would be favorable

She's known to experiment with different sounds while still staying in her realm of dance pop though. Is it really that bad?

People don't know what they want.

People over here screaming "I want disco!" without realizing that disco pioneered electronic dance music as a whole, or saying they want "X,Y,Z" genre of music which is just a sub-genre of electronic dance music. :air:

So much truth! 👏👏👏👏👏

most of us want EVOLUTION and releasing more and more of the same would be tiring
but I'm not asking her to dump all genres of dance, she could release deep house, trap, etc.

Not sure where did you get that from since as far as I see it many people wanted her to be pop and produce dance bops still. People are excited she is working with Nile Rodgers cos he is known to younger generation for helping Daft Punk for making an adult bop alongside Pharrell. Same thing goes with Mark Ronson.

So no, I disagree.

Read some of the threads discussing the genres of LG5 or producers and whatnot. Some fans are starting to move away from her doing that style of music and more towards "mature music" that are more "vocal oriented". Electronic dance pop and disco can still fit those criterion though. It's weird.

I really want her to focus on dance music, its what she does best, but I'd like to see her release an EP after LG5 with around 6 classic rock songs that sound like Speechless and Brown Eyes

I WANT REAL SOUNDS NOT MACHINE ONES, I'M TIRED OF IT

But you see, if a sound isn't real, it isn't the computer's fault. It's the person's fault.

They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.

I think that most just want something new and inspiring, some growth and for Gaga to keep trying even harder. We don't just want her to put out something that feels comfortable and same. An artist as great as Gaga should never just rest upon her laurels. Gaga can be even greater and I think that she knows this too. She should experiment with different things and take risks, she already has a massive fanbase and most, if not all would follow her and she can still gain new fans.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

But does she have to do that by abandoning one genre completely and move into an entirely different direction? For example, a ballad album would be drastically different not just musically but also promotion wise and not to mention the tour would be completely different. Wouldn't that alienate some of the fans out there that love her pop music and whatnot?

It isn't really much of a stretch for Gaga to make a record that is rock n roll pop opera, the genres do not so much matter, besides filing her into a packaged category, she is already a different enough pop artist, that you'd already expect Gaga not to sit in any genre and just rest comfortably. Gaga has so much of her love of music in so many of her awesome live performances, she isn't a typical pop star.

REALITY

Her and her fans have definitely matured over the years, and I feel like it should be time for her music too. Don't get me wrong, I love her older, more pop-dance type music, but we've seen that Gaga's definitely matured over the years, her voice especially. She can literally sing anything, from classical, to pop, to jazz, to rock, you name it, she can sing it.

Personally, I think it's time to take it a step further, I'm hoping for a rock/funk/pop album, with a hint of disco, like I Want Your Love. But, when I say 'rock' I mean songs like The Queen and You and I; Born This Way did a great job of mixing rock with her signature pop flare.

And, now that the G.P. knows for a fact that she can sing, why not capitalize on that? She should have more ballads—personally, I like Dope. So overall, while I don't think that the fans that want her to do dance music are in the minority, I just think it's time for her music to mature a bit, because she certainly has.

The more I think about it, the more I feel pop is too limiting for Gaga. Of course I'd love for her to make pop/dance songs, but not just that. She's too talented to stick to just one genre, the girl is a chameleon, she's proved that she can pull off jazz, rock, disco, etc., so for her to go back to just pop would feel like a major step backward.

And I think that now, more than ever, she's ready to show the extent of her talent and LG5 is going to be a huge departure from what she's done in the past.

But this goes against her premise, that is, to expand a very good idea. She'll never be completely different. It'll always be there: the europop, glam rock etc.

I've always thought she is her strongest behind a piano and I hope for a full unplugged album soon.
