Hope 2,030
Somehow from that EXTREME it went down to nowhere. I mean, speaking for myself got tired of listening to "25" anymore. I don't know I got bored too fast. Even "Hello" sounds like it was released years before and not this past October (to be exactly just on my bday ). Katsuki Bakugo 9,788
I think its perhaps how she released it. There was waaaaaaaay tooooooo much hype surrounding her and Hello, she should have held on to her songs for a while long and played Hello out until she was ready to released single two. but lets face the facts. Does Adele ever need another #1 single or #1 album or sell any album ever again? the answer is no. 21's success is more than enough to keep her going for many years on. Mister Gaga 22,033
It is, and i don't know why. Her team is stupid tbh. What are they waiting to release WWWY video? ARTPOP era tease Hello is the only hit, it was released almost 5 months ago. She slayed everyone and will continue to do it, obviously...but she could achieve much more with

Guest
We are only two singles into the era. Plus she's still selling lots of albums (#3 on iTunes after being at #1 not long ago), so 25 is far from over. The hype may have died down a bit, but I'm sure that the next few singles and the tour are going to keep it at top for at least another 6 months. Benji 20,113
Adele is in her own league though and I'm sure the demand for her to do appearances is still huge. Plus, this era can now literally crash and burn and it will still be one of the most successful ones we've seen in years regarding sells I get the feeling All I Ask could be a smash for her if it is released to radio. Bloody 64,631
Well the album has already sold 17m copies worldwide and it will become diamond in usa too. She's already touring and most people have the album but I'm sure she'll release other singles too. Harry 26,836
Eh I mean not over as such - the tour only just started - but it definitely ran out of steam very quickly. That has nothing to do with her power nor is it a sign of declining interest in her, though. It's just that she had such hype around her that of course it would all happen so quickly. You can't really see someone sell 3m albums in the US alone in one week and expect that sustain to last for very long (even though I still think she's regularly doing 100k a week, right?) The fact that the follow up "single" to Hello has done averagely in comparison shows that they knew 25 would be a quick sale and don't really care about follow up single performance. They haven't even released a video, and missed what could've been a pivotal promo slot at the Grammys to perform another song. It's kinda like BTW, but on a much bigger scale. May 2011 was like Gaga mania but she only really remained massively relevant for the rest of the year because she promoted relentlessly. With a star and a release that big, you'd figure that most people interested would grab the album in the first couple of weeks on sale. Whereas with 21 she broke out internationally, so the longevity was natural.
StrawberryBlond 14,102
Even I'm surprised at how quickly she gave up on it. Still no video for the second single after all these months is really...surprising. I mean, when its sold what it has, it doesn't really need singles to sell anyway, it's doing just fine as it is. Adele is now an albums artist to the extreme where singles are unnecessary. There was talk about her doing a complete album drop like Beyonce for a reason. If this is how she is for her follow-up to her big break, can you imagine what the next one's going to be like? She might not even bother with making more than one single at all. Releasing singles post-album looks like it will no longer be lucrative for her. The whole point of releasing singles is to encourage people to buy your album. But Adele was clearly going to sell millions before any single ever appeared, so what's the point? But yeah, I've heard a lot of people say that they've got bored of the album now. After all these years, too much all at once and only 11 songs that were gobbled up quickly means this is more likely to happen. If she was more of a frequent releaser, this wouldn't be the case. Brian Ryan 1,468
Many of you guys have no patience. The first single has just dropped out of the top 10. Plus, the album is still moving numbers.
Manul 7,377
I doubt it. If WWWY vid drops i think it will hit like a juggernaut. it wasn't laaaahv

I don't think she's given up on it considering she literally performed the other week at The Brits, and multiple times in the last month. Everyone is still eating up Hello so there's near no point in chucking out another song... I mean what's the point in competing with yourself? Seeka 12,372
I just think it depends on how you look at it. I think 25 was released to just be released. To shut everyone up. To make money. Not to say Adele didn't put her hear and soul into it, I just kind of feel it was released to have it releasaed. To be like "I'm done with this sh!t, onto the next". Dorothy Gale 7,575
25 didn't even have an era imo. It was the "Hello" era, which came from the 25 ALBUM if that makes sense.
