It was just a mistake, and I don't believe he deserves this hate at all, but I don't think it is wrong for the media to point out that he should know that people before him have paved the way for him to be on that stage. (people that were living in times where they lost their careers and support because they were gay) Having said that, no one should be tweeting him hate!
