Lord Temptation 11,209
Anyone but Gaga for the "official" tribute. Madonna fans would rip her to shreds. Yet something tells me Gaga would do her own tribute.

UmbriaWitch 325
Gaga is never doing it, she spent half her career being burdened with the copycat accusations, and obviously wants to distance herself from Madonna. Britney is not that good of a performer anymore, and Madonna isn't dying for at least a decade I'm sure. Beyonce won't be tributing anyone. Too much of a legend. I could see it being Katy tbh. Similar vocal range too. Or maybe Christina. Or maybe Taylor or Miley. it would be representative of Madonna's last attempts to desperately connect with the youth. Spock 20,290
Lmao every pop girl alive and performing today owes something to Madonna, whether they or the fans want to admit it or not. And yes, that includes Gaga. Madonna paved the way. And while Britney was one of the first ones to take her model and mold it into today's pop star archetype the majority of pop singer aspire to become, everyone should tribute her. Not just Britney. Not just Miley because she does weird **** and takes her titties out every chance she gets. Everyone. Also, I'm not saying the MDNA medley wasn't a shitty thing to do or that it wasn't shade, but the approval to use the song had to come from Gaga's camp or the label. I seriously doubt Interscope would approve of something like this without Gaga's blessing, especially back then. Did you see how much promo and ~controversy~ it brought her? Lmao. So you may act as offended as you want, but Gaga clearly benefitted from that who will love me when the night is over

Not even saying that as shade. Debbie always gets forgotten. She was MASSIVE for like four albums from 1982-1990 and then completely faded out. She was even bigger than Madonna at first. And Taylor Swift even eerily looks like Debbie Gibson and has a similar life story as her....started out country, went pop. Umm wth? Debbie Gibson never went country. She started around 1987 immediately into the pop scene with her first single 'Only in my Dreams'...
