"Work, work, work, work, work, work
He said me haffi
Work, work, work, work, work, work!
He see me do mi
Dirt, dirt, dirt, dirt, dirt, dirt!
So me put in
Work, work, work, work, work, work
When you ah guh
Learn, learn, learn, learn, learn
Meh nuh cyar if him
Hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurting"

The anthem of our generation with the most meaningful lyrics!

She spoke the chorus from her roots as a woman from Barbados. It's called slang.

It's clearly saying how so one did her wrong and how she's going to "wake up to pretend like nothings wrong" despite all of the turmoil in her life and the person leaving her "hurting". It's an empowering song as a whole, inspirational, has that island field, and keeps people moving. A great anthem for the generation.

But like why would anyone buy it? She literally gave it out for free. :saladga: not to mention it's the worst thing she's ever made. I don't get it :poot:

cuz its cool hip hop music its different edgy but at the same time its still the iconic Rihanna almost everyone on the planet loves with one of the biggest most catchy lead singles ever

So why did it go #1? Is it because of the video?

Because there's no competition besides the same singles that have been there for weeks

Lady Gaga | Shakira

Work is so boooooooring

I disagree I thinks its an easy listening song its cool. But its way more interesting than loads of bland songs which have dominated the charts in the last couple of years. I love this type of music
