Mariah Carey To Headline ‘2016 Essence Festival’ with Ciara and others

New Orleans is set to welcome a host of Urban music’s biggest names this summer when the2016 Essence Festival pulls into town.

Details below…The extravaganza, which seems to grow bigger and better each year, promises to continue that trajectory thanks to a number of artists you’re sure to be familiar with.

 

Per the event’s official website, Ciara, Mariah Carey, and Maxwell are just a few of the major names set to grace the main stage at the festival – which takes place June 30th – July 3rd.

Other names on the impressive bill include Babyface, Tyrese, V. Bozeman, Jidenna, Daley, Faith Evans, Dej Loaf, Estelle, LION BABE, and the UK’s Lady Leshurr.

An uber-strong line-up.

As for the “TGJ girls,” it’s both surprising and refreshing to see Mimi actually hitting the live circuit. Indeed, beyond Vegas, she’s trekking Europe on the ‘Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour’ next month and now this. Collect those coins, ay!

Similar kudos to Ciara. With murmurs of change in her camp and confirmation of a new album, it’s awesome to see that she’ll be keeping her name and face in the mix in the meanwhile.
