Yoko Ono reported to be in HOSPITAL for a STROKE (ends up its just the flu)

Yoko Ono has been taken to hospital after suffering a possible stroke in her New York home, according to US media reports.

The artist and widow of John Lennon was taken from her Manhattan home to Mount Sinai West Hospital about 9pm local time, CBS New York has reported.

She was unconscious when she arrived at the hospital, the television station reported.

Ono turned 83 earlier this month.

She has lived in the Manhattan building, outside of which her husband was shot, since 1973.

Update (2/26 11:59 p.m. EST): Ono's representative Elliot Mintz has told the Associated Press that she was hospitalized for flu-like symptoms on her doctor's advice. He added that she will likely be released from the hospital shortly, possibly as soon as Saturday. Update (2/27 12:18 a.m. EST): Yoko Ono's son Sean Ono Lennon has tweeted that his mother "is FINE." -  http://p4k.co/YOL2B
