There's 2 videos at this link explaining everything, and you can look it up for more details:

Basically, a man named Michael David Barrett was stalking newscast reporter Erin Andrews, and when she got to the Marriott Hotel in Nashville (because she was going to cover a game at Vanderbilt University) he asked the front desk which room she was staying in, and they told him. He then booked the room next to hers, and tampered with her peephole so that he could record her from the outside. He recorded and took photos of her naked, and then posted them online. The video has been viewed millions of times, and basically anything on the internet is there forever, anyone is free to look at it now as well. She claims the hotel is responsible for letting it happen, and wants $75 million in return for the emotional distress, invasion of privacy, and public humiliation that stemmed from the event. "In the lawsuit, jurors will have to determine whether West End Hotel Partners, the franchise owner of the Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt, was negligent with regard to keeping Andrews reasonably safe."

Personally I support her completely with the $75M! It is completely the hotel's fault for telling him which room she was in, and allowing him to stay in the room next door. I would've done the same if I were in her shoes because that causes so much emotional damage and trust issues.

edit: I just found this story interesting and I hope she wins, and I think it's in the right section lol so if it's not report it pls.

Another reason why I don't like J.W.Marriott chains. :wtf:

Hope the woman lawsuit won it.

I forget the name of the place, but there was a hotel here where a worker's boyfriend got a key to the rooms and used it to beat, rape, and murder a young woman staying there. I know the place changed hands (they were sued by the girls family). I wonder if it was a Marriott.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
