will Kesha perform with Gaga at the 88th Academy Awards?

I don't know if she's allowed to. Isn't Kesha banned from performing? She had to start a band, Yeast Infection, for small dates here and there considering she's not allowed to use HER name. I assume the same applies. It would be fantastic to see. Who cares about the general public? Seriously. Not everything has to be about pleasing non-fans or those that just like a few songs of Gaga's. It would be a moment to remember. It would be powerful. Two survivors coming together and sticking their proverbial middle finger in the air! Yes, please. I'd settle for Gaga taking her to the Oscars, though.

I sort of want that to happen, but I don't think it will. I don't think Kesha has the time to rehearse for the performance amidst what's been happening around her. Also I don't think Kesha has undergone intense vocal training for each and every performance Gaga's been engaging herself in, so as much as I love Kesha, I don't think she's on par with Gaga in terms of vocal level. And of course others have mentioned that the Oscars only allows nominees to perform.

You know what I'd like is for Gaga to hold hands with a bunch of victims towards the end and hopefully Kesha would be there, and they would all hold their hands up or something.

You bring up a very good point.  I had forgotten that I read somewhere that only nominees can perform at the Oscars.  I think the only reason Gaga performed last year is because she was doing the tribute to the 50th anniversary of The Sound Of Music.

I have to give credit to others who actually brought that up. 

Anyway, this is also the reason why I'm in awe of Bobby. He manages to get Gaga to platforms she couldn't have reached considering she wasn't a nominee last year. I also thought with Cheek to Cheek being nominated last year she wouldn't have a reason to appear at the 2016 Grammys and then they made Til it Happens To You and the David Bowie tribute happen. He truly is a good manager.

Hmm, I wonder with this "Only nominees can perform" clause can be bypassed with an additional vocalist. I mean, obviously the band backing her isn't nominated and they are performing with/for the nominee.

I'm sure some backing vocalists can perform with the nominee, maybe Kesha would be able to perform with that in mind.

Idk, I'm not sold on the idea that she will perform but it would be great if it could happen.

this is exactly what i want too! i dont want Kesha to perform cause 1. sorry but she doesnt have that much of a vocal range to hit the notes in TIHTY and 2. it will 90% backfire. yes i know that not everything is about pleasing the GP, but the oscars are not exactly the best place to screw up in the publics eye

As much as the majority thinks it's a good idea .. it might backfire big time & also the song itself is a montage to all the survivors and singling out kesha would be unjustified .. Just saying !
