*imagine the unimaginable.

*creativity at its highest peak.

*Everything will change.

Look me in the eyes and tell me she lived to that standard.

That's pretty impossible standard. I think those were Intel buzzwords.

Er...

The first statement is clearly hyperbole. It literally says unimaginable :toofunny:... you don't know what's to come. Everything new is unimaginable because it didn't exist, thus you can't imagine it. It's there for hype.

The second is clearly just referring to the fact that modern technology continues to expand the limits of creativity more than ever. It's hardly wrong.

The third is true as well. This technology, once proliferated, will be used in live performances everywhere. Everything (the music industry) will change.

I know people on GGD often lack reading comprehension but come on lol

"Everything new is unimaginable because it didn't exist, thus you can't imagine it."

Huh? that's fundamentally false. And I can't even begin to explain how far from the truth that statement is. If a few years from now flying cars become a thing, will you so confidently declare that they were unprecedented / unimagined? If centuries from now, time travelling becomes an accessible action, will you say it was previously unimagined? answer me.

"The second is clearly just referring to the fact that modern technology continues to expand the limits of creativity more than ever. It's hardly wrong."

It is evident in the promo video that the creativity part is Gaga's role in the performance, which ironically she didn't contribute anything creative or any significant ideas, let alone a form of creativity that could be hailed as the epitome of creativity. And even if you count Intel's technology, I mean, we've watched art students, performance artists and mainstream artists as well provide us with much more well rounded, well executed and innovative projects than customized 3D projector and a moving piano / or reactive sensors. (Björk, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, U2 etc). I mean, from a visual perspective alone it wasn't even impressive, the projected images on her face were not in sync with her movements and did not even fit well on her face, bowie's eyes were literally on her cheeks the entire time.

"The third is true as well. This technology, once proliferated, will be used in live performances everywhere. Everything (the music industry) will change."

I think you don't know the meaning of changing everything. technology has been progressively growing in performances and this is surely not ground - breaking enough to "change everything" - and I don't see why all artists will suddenly start using this specific technology too. I mean, it's not like it's there aren't any other forms of technology out there that could be used and produce great merits. And this most certainly not the first event to combine technology / innovation with performance. So even if it contributed something extra, slightly edgy and new (only technology wise) that doesn't mean that it's going to essentially change anything. I mean, it's been highly predicted that 3D printing will very soon be incorporated with staging and musical performances (starting with Katy in her prismatic tour).

So yeah, I'm just an extremely disappointed fan. I stayed up all night expecting a life changing experience and all I got was an ok performance that didn't live up to what Gaga claimed it to be.
