I'm sure gaga would put her views on lip syncing aside for one night to perform the national anthem at the superbowl lol

Lmao she's not lypsyincing, it's just that the performance is going to be recorded before it's broadcasted.

Why will it be pre recorded tho? I dont get why it cant be done live. And when we are saying pre recorded, does it mean filmed hours or minutes before the actual game? Because if it's filmed days before the game and shown on the large screens instead of her being on the field, I will lose it. I dont get why she cant do it live.

it's not a requirement.

it's a requirement (this year) to record the full performance on video before it being broadcasted due to time problems.

Probably minutes/hour before the game. It's much safer to record it before airing it. As someone on ATRL said, if there was an attack bound to happen during the Superbowl, it would for sure happen during the anthem.

I can't be the only one who thinks that even with dancing and "stage presence", lip syncing is not okay. I do often find it hilarious that a 30something woman is dancing around to the recorded vocals of a 16/17 year old girl. If they were re-recorded, that would even be an improvement.

Call me crazy, but I would rather pay money to hear one of a kind talented vocals than go to a "glorified light show".

She has always been the special one for never lip-synching. She did the Oscars performance last year live wich required hard to hit notes and she sang the national anthem in 2013 completely live. So she wont do it with playback. She is secure enough of herself.
