Rino 5,120
from Lorde's public statement about his death: "I've never met a hero of mine and liked it. It just sucks, the pressure is too huge, you can't enjoy it. David was different. I'll never forget the caressing of our hands as we spoke, or the light in his eyes. That night something changed in me - i felt a calmness grow, a sureness. I think in those brief moments, he heralded me into my next new life, an old rock and roll alien angel in a perfect grey suit. I realized everything I’d ever done, or would do from then on, would be done like maybe he was watching. I realized I was proud of my spiky strangeness because he had been proud of his. And I know I'm never going to stop learning dances, brand new dances. It's not going to change, how we feel about him. For the rest of our lives, we'll always be crashing in that same car. Thankyou, David Bowie." she should have done it. damn, Lorde is just so smart and mature beyond her young age. she is truly inspirational and I can't wait to see what great things she's going to accomplish in the future. that being said, I still think Gaga is a better candidate for doing a tribute for Bowie. Lorde has still much to learn about the art of performance. 月にかわって、おしおきよ!🌙
llbcherry 591
I honestly don't think she will be "torn to shreds" by people, even Bowie fans. It will be all about Bowie. No mash-ups.. The gp response is overwhelmingly good. I read all the reddit comments. I think that Gaga does have the potential to bring Bowie to a new generation, while some of the "better" suggestions made would not have that ability. I dont know, but just because her music wasn't what he listened to, doesn't mean he disliked her as a human, or sought to discredit her talent. All my opinion of course, but, it's a huge honor. I think she is going to kill it! I think Intel stuff will still happen and that maybe it will also be incorporated into the tribute... You got this, Gaga!! ShockPop 7,747
I think Gaga will heavily reference Labyrinth at the Grammys, due to it being 30 years since its release. Also the wording of it being more than just his music getting a nod.

Actually, China Girl was written by Bowie and Iggy Pop for Iggy Pop's album a few years before David Bowie covered the song to help Iggy financially (due to the writing credit, Iggy Pop earned money from royalties) . Nile "only" produced Bowie's version, although he probably did compose the famous instrumental intro that is repeated throughout the song, which is probably what you meant to say

darkgaga 4,481
Okay I have a question. Did Bowie use backup dancers and did the do choreos? Because Gaga is having dancers...
