AP, these are the exact same remarks we had a thread about when the interview came out the first time. This is just another news outlet recycling the story... Do you people really have that short term of memory?

This comes from a new interview from the New York Post, it was posted wednesday: http://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/31/arts/music/elton-john-still-living-in-the-flourish.html?_r=0

The previous stuff he said abouth ARTPOP came from an Apple Music radio interview. The remarks are different.

So this basically confirms her new album is not EDM based. :gaycat: Little Redones are gonna be furious. :flutter:

The Fame, The Fame Monster, and Born This Way weren't necessarily classified as "EDM" either. They were more synth-pop and besides, to tell RedOne to not incorporate electronic sounds into his music is like asking GGD to stop throwing the word "drag" around.

Elton made these comments last week. Why are we posting old crap from the Inquisitr? It's basically the Examiner, their bloggers get away with rehashing other sources and get their articles included in google news because google owns a stake in these sites (which is why it's a favorite of Paws Down/Angela Cheng). Sites like that don't deserve clicks IMO.

Getting real tired of your **** Ellie...

Remember when we all thought daddy Zedd was being a homophobe pre-AP era and we trended something like #NoZeddOnARTPOP like worldwide, #ThisFanbase...

OT, I respect his opinion(s) on whatever Gaga decide(s)(d) to do but it's at a point where it really isn't ****ing necessary and he needs to not. ARTPOP was 2013 and LG5 is 2016/possibly 2017, everyone is treating it like MJ, it's gone, let it go.

Elton shouldn't really be criticised and attacked like he is in the way this thread is going. Let's not forget that even though he wasn't a fan of the record he still supported her throughout that era, even performing on the Muppets special with her.

We all know far too well that a lot of people close to Gaga left because they thought she was a lost cause after that album came out. He's one of the ones that trusted in her vision and stuck by through her tough times, and here he is now working with her. If you disagree with his opinion on the album then that's fine, but it's not that big of a deal. But don't disrespect a man who is not only a legend but has also been so good to Gaga. Him saying he isn't into ARTPOP doesn't cancel out everything he has done for her.

Elton John didnt drag anything, the fans are just overly sensitive when it comes to Gaga's work so any comment that is not positive is seen a drag. Also he didnt drag Demi, he just isnt a fan of the way edm has taken over music the past couple of years which is understandable.

It's ok grandpa, elders don't like electronic music. Go back to listen to Beethoven

Electronic pop fans could stand to listen to some Beethoven, a genius composer who's work is considered among the best hundreds of years after he's been dead.  But hey, go ahead and bop to Bad Blood.

This is actually the same exact interview as last time, but paraphrased and minced by Inquisitor :flop:
